Please help me with this!

I know I have posted in the wrong place but hope someone can help me.

I am not cabin crew as of yet (a wannabe I guess!) but a member of this forum.

I have been looking at a flight which I want. I am going one-way but the one way fare is more than double a return! Can I get a return and not use the second journey? I refuse to pay £500 for a one way ticket to Europe.

Plenty of people all the time buy a cheap return and travel one way ditching the return ticket.
It would be a courtsey to telephone the airline at your point of return to cancel your seat reservation so that the airline can release it to someone else, such as a worthy crew member on standby!

LOL! Im miffed as to what you think would stop you from not turning up to the airport to catch that return journey. The airline wont hunt you down and make you get on the plane, but perhaps you could make the return journey at the latest date possible just incase you do end up needing it

Yup it's called a "Dummy return ticket" and as the quote above, book the return leg far into the future so that if you do need the return leg you can change the date for a nominal fee.....
