Talking New to all this and in need of some advice!

Hi everyone,

Ive been applying to various airlines and have been offered a position with Monarch at Birmingham starting 27th march- very excited!! I still have other interviews to attend including Virgin- which is my number 1 airline. I was just wondering what to do, because i have to get back to Monarch in the next 2 weeks, and my interview for Virgin is not for another 2 weeks as well, but i dont want to ruin my chances if i get offered a position there.

Can anyone advise me on where to stay while carrying out training, as i dont know anyone is Birmingham and my car wouldnt survive the long drive there and back? Would really appreciate the help.

I would go for MON. If you've been accepted, thats fantastic. If, in a few months, you want to go to Virgin, they're more likely to take you on since you've got flying experience!!!

Hi,

Ive been in the same prediciment as you.

Virgin is most definetly my first choice and i have only applied to other airlines as backups for experience if i dont get virgin.

I have had an offer from another airline and accepted it BUT i have an interview with virgin tomorrow. I will kick myself if i dont go as it is really the one airline i want to work for!

So thats what ive done!

I spoke to some girl from monarch actually who did the same thing, got the virgin job and unfortunatly had to let monarch down but was so much happier to be working for virgin.

I hope this helps - and good luck whatever you decide to do.

Thanx for the advice guys!!

Ye im going to accept the offer for Monarch and still attend the interview with Virgin. But wat if i accept the offer and get given a position with Virgin? Will i have to pay back the money that ur are bonded for as contribution for uniform and stuff? or does that not count until after i have finished the training? Gd luck with your interview tomorrow jade, im sure u will be great.

Why dont you accept Monarch and still attend the Virgin interview. If you get offered Virgin then you can still get out of monarch surely!
