Hi does anyone know if you can use standby tickets a day early? i have a ticket dated the 10th but as its standby anyway would it be accepted 9th?

You should have no problem using your stand-by a day early i've had to use one of my 3 days early in the past.

Should be no problems. As long as its used by a certain date you can jump on any flight (unless its full )

umm i thought it was only open tickets that could be used on any date.

jus remember to list yourself on the flight. some airlines require that of you

I did that just last week, changed it online then made my way to the airport. If you dont have access to an online service then give them a call, it just makes ground staffs job 2 seconds easier and lets face it, they hold your boarding pass so helping them goes along way!

Oh and NZ2, ID tickets are "open" tickets .. they are open for 6 months from your first date of booking them. Obviously because of the uncertainty of them they would be left open..
