Hi CrewBus, yes its true the pilots EBA was voted down in a landslide No vote (87% no) - however the effect it has on ours is yet to be discovered... Does anyone have any info from the union of late? My membership lapsed some time ago - this EBA will be the defining factor as to whether I rejoin or not.

Well there hasn't been much discussion regarding the cc EBA for some time. I can't believe the FAAA isn't doing more to ensure an agreement is finalised sooner. The old agreement expired over 2 years ago. The FAAA should take advantage of the fact we are in the middle of an election campaign and make this issue public. I am starting to get the feeling Virgin management are waiting until the outcome of the election to see if the coalition government are re-elected to see if any further changes to work choices are made which would likely benefit the company at the detriment of its workers. I think its about time the union stepped up its action and looked at introducing protected industrial action for cc. Why as cc have we been happy to accept its taking over 2 years and still no agreement has been reached. Its completely unacceptable and virgin management and the FAAA should be held more accountable.
