fumes on aircraft

Hi there, i would be interested in knowing how many crew have experienced "fumes" on the aircraft they fly on. I have been flying for over a decade on 2 a/c types bae 146 and boeing 717. The 146 is terrible with fumes and i have had many exposures over the years and have been sent to aviation doctors for check ups after severe exposures. the 717 also has fumes but dont seem to be as bad or as frequent as the 146.
What is so frustrating at times is the lack of respect and support from F/D who seem to worry about ontime departures and upsetting the company because reporting the incident will/should warrant engineers checking it out causing leng thy delays.
What effects have others felt from exposure to fumes?
