BA Connect

Anybody flying today? How did it go on the first day of selling on board?
Were the passengers surprised at having to pay?

Having spent £260 on a ticket I was surprised at having to pay for a sarnie. To the point where I simply didn't.

The difference between BA and Easyjet / Ryanair is.................. (dunno - help me out here !)

If BA are going to do this - they'd better make sure they match / beat the cost of the LoCo's !

Just seen this on the BBC website - makes you think doesn't it !

Passenger numbers have dropped at privately-owned airline BMI since it axed free food and business-class cabins on many of its flights.
The company confirmed there had been a fall in passenger numbers after figures leaked to the Guardian newspaper showed a dramatic slump.

As well as changes in policy the airline blamed competition from low-cost rivals.
