BMed interviews

If i were you id stick with Monarch, unless you like spending days in war torn destinations. And if the romours are true that Monarch are taking over Astreaus will will be far better off with the smart guys

Im with the other voices on this one. I would stay with Monarch. Far better destinations, more suitable aircraft for longhaul flights and the money is pretty much on par. If its the "brand" you are going to work for its not exactly what you think.

I went to a BMED interview and there were a fair number of Monarch crew there (doing sickies!). They said that the pay at BMED came out as higher than at Monarch and that pax loads were lower too. I guess everyone has priorities, that's how Virgin attracts so many people despite its poor reputation in salaries.

I work for BMED I started about 2 months ago,
I used to work for a Charter Airline out of Gatwick!

BMED is great, the destinations, although strange, are so interesting, the crew want to go out and have fun, Skiing in the winter, sun bathing in the summer,

Pay is fab, I earn more at BMED as Main Crew than I did as a Purser for my previous airline!

Go to the Interview, Enjoy the day, and make your own mind up,

Feel free to PM me any questions!

I have to agree with some of the comments above. I also used to work for Astraeus, which was a great little company, with some equally interesting destinations! That, in my opinion, is the best thing about working for AEU and now BMED, it's not all there for you on a plate downroute, you have to go out there and explore, do a bit of digging! I have had some of the best nights out ever in Africa, and hopefully, in the future, Central Asia. It IS BA branded, and that for me works just fine, after 6 months, we have access to the BA staff travel scheme, not to mention 2 free tickets a year, increasing with time. The company is modern, innovative and going places. Ask me 6 months down the line and my opinions may have changed, but for now, and for the last 2 years at Astraeus, life has been good!

Regards

Mike
