Angel neverhaveflown1

i get constantly entertained here on this site. once in a while i have to put a bit of real stuff here as to remind some of the dreamers here whats going on in the real world.
now if you dont mind i have to get back to my second job to make the other $100 000.- per half year. this should keep the family bugdet (3 houses, hobby farm, 2 double pay tractors, girlfriend, wife, kids, dog,) in shape.

yes you're quite right Lower lobe
I have some really big decisions to make, I have 3 places to maintain and I was thinking should I subdivide one of the blocks of land then I will have four?
Since I only work for half the year and have a Harem to support, what else do you think I could do?

propaganda

Has the FAAA approached CabinCrew Management and told them that it is completely unacceptable for them to use the Cabin Crew News sheet as a union bashing pamphlet - edition #14 30/3 under General News (page 4) had a whole page from that punk from the Personnel Dept. - Kevin Brown -ripping into Qantas Unions - if the membership is to continue reading this butt wipe - then tell Kev to keep his beak out of it.
Last month Kev was just "Manager People"....this week he's "Executive General Manager People"
OOOOhhhhh look at you Kev - you must be a really important person in your office.... look out its the EGM...
take your hand off it kev -all as you and your exec mates talk about these days - is the price of a barrel of oil.
There are no human factors within Qantas anymore -its ALL about the bottom line.
Kev's new title should be Executive GM -BARRELS
that's all we are kev -
I'll give you a tip - how many barrels of oil can you buy for $A6 million?
Sack one CEO and you've got it.
Actually just before Xmas the new CEO of BA Willie the Slasher - cut the top 600 senior executive jobs - and the airline is now powering. That is a sustainable futures strategy.
Get to it Kev - start "right sizing " the senior exec -positions in Qantas -all as they have achieved so far is to destroy shareholder value.

I repeat -did the FAAA voice its opposition to kev's utterances?? Its the small stuff guys -where you win our respect.

There's no way that QF Cabin Crew are overpaid.

They just can't be! Why? I witnessed a few of them paying their room bills in London the other day, using handfuls of 1p and 2p coins amongst other things! Very embarassing!

Save the coins for the Unicef envelope and get a life!

You are a very angry person who by the look of your posts have no idea what goes on outside of your little area. Grow up.
Go the cabin crew news sheet.

Thats right flyagainstrikebreaker,

Let's have a shot at unionism and all the conditions that we work under ,show us what you are made of flyagain and be the first to approach the company and set up your very own individual work place agreement ...

That is if you are not already on a contract in some far flung place like Auckland and are enjoying the fruits of Darths sustainable Australian minimisation program.

I'll be right with you as soon as I have raised the rent on my town houses in the Eastern suburbs and floated my transport company.Tomorro I'm off to the local Ferrari dealership to order my mid life crisis coupe.I tell you the strain of this job and the tax burden is immense as well as supporting my wife,3 children and a swedish house keeper not to mention the depreciation on my 5000 ha cattle farm

The sad thing that the top brass just dont get is that we are really a simple lot as cabin crew - easily impressed.

Just look after us, thank us and appreciate us - dont take everything off us, dont change what works and give us the resources that we need to carry out our daily jobs and we are happy little people.

It really is that simple.

Now isnt that easy Geoff?

So very true Sydney S/H.

Sadly our management are completely and utterly self serving.

Concern for us as operational staff?

Why would they?

We are the enemy as far as they are concerned.

It's time flyagain that you heeded the advice of the moderator Tightslot and cooled it. If you really are a flight attendant then you are a traitor to us all and should be hanged in the back galley. Funny about your comment on another thread "But for now I have coffee to serve at 45000 feet". The highest I've flown is 41000 on the SPs which leads me to believe that you don't know S T or I suppose you will come back that it was just a typo. In anycase I and others here know what you are.

As for Mr. Brown thanks Lurker for pointing out to us his usual vitriolic comments in the crew news. I'd missed it but it sure does'nt surprise me coming from the EGM People. People is something he knows little about. I'm surprised he found the time to leave his multi million dollar Mosman mansion to write it and perhaps it was done at his favourite haunt the Bathers Pavilion restaurant. I'll have another Chardee thanks. Can't wait to see the annual report and what bonus he receives.

Talking "....... you're nothin but a BROWN dog !"

So true what you say about Mr Brown.
This "punk/thug" has no bounds.
I was "priviledged" to attend one of the ROADSHOWS (sic) in SIN. He was the guest presenter.
WHAT A JOKE. Two of us walked out before the end citing a previous appointment at Starbucks to attend.!!!!
BUT, take a look at the latest diatribe from Mussolini Michael and then compare with the CCN from Mr Brown-dog. Take away content-but as far as "tone & style" goes they are both one of the same, ie THREATS & INTIMIDATION.
..................as far as that other poster "Fly Again"-I hear that
Mr Brown- dog is looking for new recruits.
Pre requisites for position:
* Brown shirts to wear.
*No previous experience with people Management.
* Attended the Peter Reith- Peace & Love seminars.
*Being able to bend over and touch your toes -on command.
* Being able to spend long periods of time on knees.
Go for it "fly again " and see if you can sign up your other mate "Perpendicular prism".

This is a hypothetical, but considering the new IR laws combined with the new 'CNS-BASE-Contract' it might be the way of the future.

What if (again, hypothetical) a bunch of say 200 junior longhaul flight attendants formed their own 'company' and put in a competitive tender to soley do certain destinations, lets say HNL & SFO for example.

The group could provide 'competitive' rates against the rest of longhaul crew , could sell it as 100% compliance with all QF standards on every flight, guarentee all KPI's met for each position filled, and give a forecast of x% increase in customer satisfaction levels to each destination.

Now how would that fit into current industrial laws? Would junior crew do that to get around the seniority system? Qantas has tendered off ground staff positions in ports, to groups of QF's own employees. What is to stop them accepting tenders from crew-groups for certain 'parcels' of work? Have they not effectively done that with the Aus Airlines/ Qantas CNS base?

Again, just a hypothetical scenario I am not suggesting it should be done, but is this a possible scenario for the future?

Any comments? [Genuine comments, not just slagging me for the post!]

I think you are right on the money, sadly... I am surprised this hasn't been attempted already. Gone are the days of solidarity and the essence of 'team spirit'. Welcome to the new 'Spirit'...
