Red face Was ill for excel interview.Help!

Hi guys was meant to have an interview with excel at Manchester Airport for Gatwick base on the 19th, but had flu. The kind guys at XL have given me another date of the 7th March at Gatwick, which was cool of them. Am worried about the Maths test, can anyone who has recently been interviewed for them give me any idea of how difficult (or not) the paper was?. I would appreciate any info guys. Thanks in advance
Ps Anyone else being interviewed on this date?
Thanks.
Crewboy.

Hiya!

I have just had an interview for Excel, and don't worry, the recruitment team are all really lovely. When you arrive, you will have your height and weight checked, and then your BMI calculated. This must fall into the correct bracket, otherwise they send you home at this point.

Next you go into a room, where you do an icebreaker. You have 5mins to get as much info. as possible from the person sat next to you, and vice versa. You then read this out to the rest of the group. After that there is a short general knowledge and maths test, but don't worry, it is not too bad, just stuff like 'an oven tray holds 8meals, and oven holds 6 trays, how many meals can you cook in 6 ovens??' Make sure you know where the head office for Excel is and the company colours, that sort of thing. Then, you will be split into groups and have to decide on a place you would like to take a plane load of disadvantaged children to, what activities you would do, and which 5 famous people you would take with you. Finally, you are given cards with 7 or 8 different items on them, and you have to imagine you are stranded on a desert island and put them into order, deciding which you would need the most, down to the least. These are both excercises to see how you work together as a team, so make sure that you make a contribution, but also listen to other peoples ideas, and praise them - never criticise. That's it!

If you are successful, you will have a 2-1 interview int he afternoon, which is pretty much standard.

Hope that helps xxx
