Moving from permanent ba contract to a temporary?
hi...
im posting this just for some general advise, i've been working for British Airways as a customer service agent for the past year and half and was seriously thinking of applying for the 6 months external temporary contract at heathrow (Since internal staff are only able to apply for Euro Gatwick!).
Thing is, its a big risk since i would have to resign. (loose my date of joining. Concessions!!! and the rest ) and basically restart in the hope that after the 6months they keep you on. i dont mind loosing my d.o.j but what is the likelyhood they would keep me after the 6months?
or is it better to just stay where i am and wait for an internal transfer to Heathrow becomes available?

You would probably get kept on but offered the new mixed fleet at LGW. My advise would be hold fire and wait for an advert in the BA news for an internal application to LHR ( LHR terms and conditions much better )
