CityJet
Hi, am new to Pprune and have an interview with CityJet next week.
Can anyone give any info on rosters, pay etc on either the Dublin or Paris bases? I did try the search function without much luck
Would really love to hear from any current or past CityJet crews

Hey there!
My really close friend works for city jet.. She is Irish and is based in Dublin. They do seem to work hard mind you! Poor girl is always on overnight stops in Paris, Florence.. etc. She gets approx 8days off and make bout 2000EUR a month.. She doesnt complain about the pay but she keeps telling me how constantly tired she is. But hey, now thinking about it she is a lazy bum! Sorry sista!

Hi everybody.
I'm french and I'm working for Cityjet for two years and a half. I'm Paris based.
Cityjet is a wholly owned subsidiary of Air France but you don't really need to speak french. It's a very cosmopolitan company and the athmosphere is quiet good.People come from all europe which is quiet interesting!
We worked hard - especially for crew based in Dublin - They have many overnights because they are doing trips for four days sometimes.
Cityjet are recruiting actually for both base. it is just a one to one interview concerning you CV and what you can give to the company and our customers (motivations...)
After a training of 6 weeks (initials) or 3 weeks (convertions) - you will have 3 flights as supernumery. Then you will receive your roaster.
A normal roaster is 4 days ON/2 days OFF or 6 days ON/3 days OFF (in general and for a Paris roaster because I don't know for Dub), including stand by, overnight and hotspare (stand by airport).
Routes are : Paris to Dublin - Goteborg - Florence -Birmingham -Zurich - Edimbourg - London City -
Dublin to London City
Overnight in FLR - ZRH -GOT- LCY and CDG/ORY for Dublin crew.
Basic Salary is 1250 euros a month which is aprox 820 GBP + flying allowances :
- 16 euros per sector
- 116 euros for a hotspare
- 60 euros for an overnight
- 19 euros for a stand by
For people who speak either French, spanish, italian or german (unless if it's your mother tongue) - you can get a language allowance once a year.
So in general, if you have a full month whithout annual leaves you can get a quiet good salary which is aprox 2200 euros which is 1450 GBP aprox.
You have 31 days of annual leave per year and get some discount tickets whith differents airlines including whith AF (we have some stand by tickets 10% and confirmed ticket 50%). Very good prices as well whith the accor hotels.(25-50 or 75% discount).
The contract is a 3 years renewable contract AND it's of course an irish contract - So we are under the irish law and the irish aviation authority.
CITYJET is not like a charter company - It's not AF, BA, EI or LH... We don't fly long haul but for those of you who want to start flying, it's a very good experience and a good company to start whith...
I hope you will get all the info you need...
If you need some more details, don't hesitate to contact me...
Regards
