Eastern Australian Airlines Recruitment
hi everyone,
Firstly- I came across this site a few weeks ago when I first started applying for airlines and I'd like to say how great I think it is that you're all so quick to offer us newbies info and support with our applications and interviews with airlines. It's really comforting to know that there are people out there who are genuinely willing to help people like myself break into such a competitive industry. Thanks!!
ANYWAY, to my point...
I was wondering if anyone else has received an email about interviews with Eastern Australian Airlines in Melbourne??
Do you think it would be a good idea for someone to start out in a regional airline rather than waiting for an application with someone like virgin or jetstar?? Dont get me wrong, I'm stoked to even have an interview, I'm just not really sure how working with a regional airline would compare to working with a bigger one in regards to the experience that might be required of me. I think that sentence made sense...? i'm tired.
Thanks for your help guys I really appreciate it, have a good weekend,
Doug

Wondered if any Eastern Crew from Melbourne are on pprune? Would be greatfull for any info on flying out of the base, pay/conditions..
Also if anyone has been through the interview process recently, would appreciate any info on what to expect..

Hi guys,
I do not work for EAA but you might find some helpful information on the FAAA website. www.faaadomestic.org.au you can also read the EBA on www.wagenet.gov.au just do a search for it and it will give you all the T&C etc.
My understanding is that MEL based crew do Tassie and regional VIC flights, with the odd Canberra or southern regional NSW flight thrown in.
Hope this helps.

Yes I think KM is still there!
I have been invited to attend a session on the 14th but depending on my current offer with another position elsewhere I am not 100% if I will be attending. But I may just make the trip to Mel to give all the girls french rolls etc on their big day.
Good luck to all involved!

EAA Pay
Thanks for the above posts about pay. When it comes down to it tho, whats worse/best-case scenarios for fortnightly take home pay ex MEL and SYD. Anyone care to shed any light? Any information greatly appreciated
