Eddy,
If you're seriously considering a move to the middle east, go for Emirates...
I attended an interview for Gulf a couple of years ago and was very unimpressed. For a start, they were DESPERATE for crew. They wanted me to sign contracts there and then and actually asked me if I could be in Bahrain the following week!! ER NOOOO! They had no one on one interviews, everything was done in group format (so no chance to assess you as an individual) and the whole experience was rushed, impersonal and rather chaotic.
Also...forgive me Eddy, I'm not sure if you're a guy or gal.....but unless their policy has changed, they were only recruiting female cabin crew in this country.
I have a couple of friends at EK who love it. Their conditions are great and they say Dubai is a great place to live. They are well paid and their digs are provided by the company. My friend has managed to save a huge amount of cash which she's planning on using towards a house when she comes home next year!
Good luck and do your research before you make any decisions!
KTP xx

Hey Eddy....Dont do it mate!!! You know who I am and youve heard my stories in the past! I have mates in both Etihad and EK (Gulf air dont take blokes unless you are arabic) not to mention QR, Its not all its cracked up to be and certainly a lot harsher than BA could ever be! Plus you are not making a saving money wise!!! Think long and hard before making any drastic decisions.
