well i already know what its like to work for an airline when morale is at an all time low..... fun filled!
I still haven't made a decision but have a lot more to think about now! Least I have an idea of what it's like, I feel so sorry for all the people that are new to the industry and really have no idea what they are getting themselves into

NJS is NOT a happy workplace!
The base salary they are offering is a JOKE!!
At recruiting days they are sugar coating it by mentioning the extra $1000 per month you can earn from allowances!! perhaps if you are in cns or darwin and the overnights continue! But that isn't guaranteed. And even if it was its still not enough. You're bonded too! And you'll hardly be able to afford to get out of that on this miserable income .You're in a hotel up to 10 nights a month maybe more.. its almost impossible to have a life!!
do they mention that we are the ONLY cabin crew in the country who gets drafted on RDOs and can't say no!!!! BELIEVE IT!! Great when you have something special planned, you sign off and there is a duty change with a shift where you thought you were going to have you few days off.
Anyone thinking of applying to NJS. don't do it! GONE are the days where you get any appreciation whatsoever. Loyalty and commitment to the company phff! They don't care!
Can't believe I'm saying this. Go to jetstar. Go to virgin. Go anywhere but here! At least with you'll get some sort of staff travel with them. NJS staff travel.. also a joke! Its coming apparrantly. We'll see!! Doubt it!
