Australian Airlines Interviews

Hey Guys,

Just noticed there was Interviews held in Cairns a couple of weeks ago for Australian Airlines! Just curious to see it any one made it in and when ground school starts or if you've already started or still in the good old waiting game that happens so often!
Cheers guys!!

Re: Australian Airlines Interviews

Hey guys, haven't heard from anyone on prune that has actually progressed from the 3 day recruitment held in Cairns in Dec. I believe that in one group there wasn't one single current flyer. Has AO moved away from people already in the industry or was this just a one off? Seminar will be held in Melbourne this Thursday. For those that are going know your Asian countries and capital cities as it may be handy. Good luck to all!

Re: Australian Airlines Interviews

Just because you are an ex-flyer doesn't necessarily mean that you are entitled to a job at AO. Have seen many ex-fliers bomb out in interviews because they felt they had an edge over other non-flyer hopefuls. BE PREPARED and don't be OVER CONFINDENT! Good luck to all....

Re: Australian Airlines Interviews

Who mentioned anything about ex-flyers being entitled to the job!Certainly not me. What I asked, is AO shifting away from ex-flyers! Seems no-one knows. That's it. Why the response?

Re: Australian Airlines Interviews

Hi Gloria,

Judging by the last 2 schools that went through, there were a lot of ex flyers. So to answer your question, no I don't think AO has shifted away from hiring ex flyers. Most of the non flyers I have met from the last 2 schools have been the language speakers.

Hope this helps.

The current interviews to be held in MEL/SYD and I think OOL are from the brief web based applications from back in Sept 05, so you probably won't be able to apply online at the moment. Keep an eye on it though as they may not get the numbers they are looking for this month????
