collecting info on uk airlines

Hi there!
I'm an italian flight att. planning to move to uk...

I was wondering if any of you could give me some info on which seems to be the best airline to join...
everytime I say:"ok, let's try to join X or Y" but after reading what you guys write I make up my mind!
I was thinking to LGW base, given that, I won't bring my car and I could live near the ap so...

I'm interested to know :
- the salary(of monarch, bmi, virgin, ba, ASTRAEUS, ezy etc.)
- days off (can u make a request for the next month?)
- type of contract
- flight hours
- roster etc.

I know I've asked sort of "private question" but having a response for each group would be great!

if you want you can post me a PM even sending me a copy of your personal schedule...
sorry to bother you but I really need to take a decision...

Thank you!

Astraeus

Well here at Astraeus your basic is around 10k for Main Crew, and you normally do about 1 trip a month.

Rosters are issued about 2 weeks in advance, and work on a 6 on 2 off period, however this is made up of Standbye duties and flights.... its a temporary contract however in my experiance if you work hard then your sure to be kept on.

Having never worked for another airline i cant comment on any others, but Astraeus is really friendly, and it is a really good airline to work for.

Good luck,

thanks jcx!
Sorry for the silly question but: do you mean that working 6on 2off pattern generally result in a single trip per month?
cheers
