w.a. man, I got an email from them about two weeks ago asking me to update my application - so I guess they're looking. Though Qantas are now going via StaffCV - so it may be worth a go at using that to apply as well..

good luck!!

Thanks Skysista,
I have applied on staffc.v for QF. I buy lotto tickets every week also. Not much chance of either !!
I applied by an expression of interest on M.A.M website. Some time ago, said they would make contact when they next recruit. Only a very basic application, no facility to submit a c.v though.
Just wanted to know when they may start recruiting again??

Hmm no idea sorry! I figured since they were emailing saying to update (I think the wording was they were looking...) they were recruiting... IIRC they were after language speakers mainly... I'll see if i can find the e-mail...

Ok I can't seem to find the email now (thanks, Optusnet ) but I do recall they said they were recruiting for PER (and another base I can't remember which) based language speakers with preference for .. um.. I think it was Mandarin and Japanese??

This would have been somewhere between 3 & 5 weeks ago...

They advertised in last Saturday's SMH for Asian language speakers. They didn't specify which base it was for.

MAM recently did a recruitment drive for casual Japanese, Mandarin and Cantonese language speakers. They apparently start training in November. I have been told that the next recruitment (general recruitment) for MAM casuals (PER) will be in February.

Good luck!

They advertised in last Saturday's Sydney Morning Herald. From memory, it was for more Asian language speakers.

Assessment day!

Got invited to the first assessment day next tuesday in brisvegas. I don't live there anymore, but its an excuse to go home, however its obv. for casual and it specifically says in the application form e-mailed to me please accept the following terms: blah blah 1. Do you understand that this is for MAM Casual Flight Attendants positions and there will be no opportunity for permanent positions to be offered? Good one, anyway go for a laugh I suppose! Maybe its better the red roo I know ( the one I work for now), than the one I don't! Good luck to everyone, hope everyone gets a call up, crazy considering their 60 second application on mam.net.au, now thats an application I like! And the one they e-mail you takes you about 2 minutes, go MAM!

Re: M.A.M Recruitment

hey there people

Just wanted to know what other rumours mamers out there have heard?

So far on line I have heard that our mandatory days could be increased, and that we may have to give at least 15 days availability as well

Having given 2 years of service already, and been quiet flexible etc etc I find this to be annoying, and asking just a little too much!!!

Some of us only like to do a certain number of days only each month....

what other rumours have you heard, and can anyone clarify anything?

more and more each day we are becoming part time employees. For those who worked on xmas day, but did not receive the $30 voucher that full timers did get, i find that a total slap in the face to you guys...Thats just terrible
