Cabin Crew Requirements
Hi,
I'm trying to find out info on requirements for employment as cabin crew. My mate is interested- she's 21 and worried there might be restrictions on height and speaking a language.
any help appreciated,
b bear

Basic Requirements
1. Height and weight in proportion, min approx 163, max approx 183 cm
2. Outgoing personality (not too gregarious).
3. A background in Hospitality/Cust service is always a plus.
4. CAN swim 50 mtrs and tread water for 10 mins (at least)
5. Some airlines can be fussy about glasses and hearing aids. A medical to assess limits is required.
6. Doesn't hurt to be easy on the eye either (true).
7. Age can vary, 21 is fine but the other end of the spectrum depends on the discrimination laws of the country.
8. And of course being available to work a 24 hr roster (int) and tolerate personal/social life deprivation?????
I'm sure many others will have contributions to make, just tell your friend to get as many apps out as possible.
These days the first step is as easy as logging on, filling out online form then press send.

Oh yeah, don\'t think it applies so much now as in previous years, but the ability to party really hard with people you wouldn\'t normally hang with helps! Agree old flyers?
