Air Atlanta @ Gatwick

Hi,

Can anyone give me some info on some news that I have heard from 2 very realiable soucres that from the end of november AAE at Gatwick will not be doing anymore Travel city flights to Orlando.

As I work for AAE this really worries me as we already know we will not be doing SSH so will we be laid off.

Any info would be gratefully recieved.

Thanks

As Avion are owners of Travel City and Air Atlant, I am sure they will continue to operate the flights.

Also, there are some SSH flights operating in November. EUK6222 on Sundays, for Mytravel.

Dont forget about the M.O.D. work also !

Hi Irish,

Thanks for your reply, the SSH flights are going to be done by Excel and Manchester do all the MOD flights, contary to popular belief, Gatwick is not given them as we have less crew!!!

Travel City Direct will continue to sell holidays to florida from London Gatwick during the winter!
But they shall be operated on the XLA 767-300, as there is not enough demand to fill a 747-300 out of gatwick during the cold months as there is out of Manchester.

Whether you will be trained on the 767 to operate this route or just operating the MOD contract is the questions you need to be asking your employer!

Hi Jumbo Girls,

Nice to hear from you again and thanks once again for the info you gave me, do you know of any other routes that may be coming to LGW, there are so many rumours that I cant really keep up with them or if you know if any crew will be kept on.

I have been told that only MAN will continue the MOD.

You can send me a private message as before if you think its more approiate!

Thanks again for your help

AAE UK base for W05/6 B743's is 1 x MAN, 1 x FFD/BZZ, so would imagine MoD operation will change to being crewed by LGW based crew.
