It's been 1 week out of the possible 2 and still Air NZ havn't contacted the references, this probably means it's a no go.

hey guys, i just wanted to let you know this is my first post on this forum. I applied for the postiton of an Air NZ fa a while ago and was called 2 weeks ago telling me i had been successful through the recruitment process and was accepted as an Air New Zealand LH fa. I have since moved from Sydney and now live in beautiful Auckland and my training starts soon.

The training is in early to mid oct right??

And congrats for getting in.
Would be awsome to know how you were informed that you were successful and when, in relation to the two weeks they would contact you within.

Cheers

The uniforms (NZ) aren't that bad, actually for an airline they're quite smart. Remember us in the orange and brown (pucci days) that was in for 14 god dam years, and let's not go with the YSL (excuse me bellhop I need my car, or, so what instrument do you play in the band)??????

Unhappy

Hi NewZealand2. Well i actually have to say they contacted me like 3 or more weeks after my interview. Id given up hope and was baristing coffees in the coffe shop i worked at in sydney when the call came. I screamed and through the milk all over this lady hehehe, but yes id ginve up all hope. And then i had limited time to get ready and that annoyed me a little. But yeh, they contacted me a lot later than what they said. I was nervous about calling them to see what was happening so as it would not show impatience.

I actually like the uniform and you are right in that the new one is being launched during Fashion Week in November (I think November)

All we know is that Zambesi is designing it and all other details are quite the secret.

As for applying for Cabin Crew for Airnz, I would very much love to have the experience and then come back to working as a CSA again, but I think my age may go against me. Although I have heard a 56 yr old has just been accepted. I was informed that age is not the issue, but it all depends if you are the right person for the job.

in progress?

Hi guys,
When I applied with Air NZ last July they replied to me saying that my skills and experience appear to match their initial requirements and they will contact me in the future... my application online says now it is " in progress". Does anyone know if it means I'm on hold for the next recruitment, and when is that?
Thanks for your opinions,
Cheers.

Just be patient.

I do know that Airnz has had a lot of applicants of late and the process will take time.

Regarding JetConnect L/H

Afternoon...

Regarding JetConnect LongHaul crew, we hear around 50 were interviwed and they took about 20-30... Not too shabby... More recruiting for Jetconnect to be done...

Cheers
Pico_or_Goodrich

PS: Goodluck to all! NZ are a fantastic company, even on the ground the crew still walk thru the terminal smiling like crazy! Loves it!
