It's all very hush hush. The uniform committee have signed a confidentiality agreement.
They are testing out the uniform now. From what I have heard parts of it didn't pass the testing.
Galley gossip I have heard is more formal, a charcoal suit, white coloured shirt, with small pattern/markings of our company colours.
That's about all I have heard, noone really knows much at all. I'm guessing it will be a months away too. Given testing ect is still continuing.
We are all eager to see it and get it though.
Have a good night,

Thanks for your reply.
Does anybody at AO enjoy wearing the orange shirt and brown jacket? Looks like budget airline easyjets uniform.
It must be comfortable to wear, right? We transited in CNS 3 days ago, i must admit you guys didn’t too crash hot at 5 in the morning.
Just my opinion

Airbus galley girl,
Nice wind up honey.
Do you look nice at 5am after flying all night ?
The current uniform is very comfortable. The colours are a hit with our asian customers.
Raver - I heard we are getting the QF morrisey jacket and trousers with open necked business shirt with AO print on it ( bone colour )
Also a very nice set of gold wings.
And which company do you fly for airbus galley girl ?

QFsky,
Ta for the info. Yay wings sound flash! Curious about the AO print.
Airbus_galley_girl,
I don't mind wearing the orange shirt, it's the jacket that I have issues with. It's no more comfortable than any other pair of black business pants or business shirt.
I don't think many people look to crash hot after operating all night and landing at 5am. Give us a break. I'm sure you were refering to the uniform though?
Night,
Raver

I saw AO crew in Singapore recently amongst crew from other airlines and it just didn't look professional. I understand AO is an international "leisure" airline, so uniform etc reflects this. I don't think it is that bad, will be good when it is altered.
True, not too many people look great at 5am, however the asian carriers always seem to look immaculate at any time of the day. Makes you feel ashamed when you're lined up with them at immigration, hahaha.

You forgot to mention the fact that the AO crew were walking through the terminal together. No doubt laughing and smiling and proud.
What i see very often in SIN is Qantas crew drinking coffee and on their mobile phones whilst walking through the terminal.
QF skywalker- I'm curious to know who your source is!

AOs uniform, laughter and pride, made no difference to the service the flight I was on. It was cloned QF service, in that the PAs were identical, only I payed full fare, and the food was worse, and the service average.
Then again maybe i expected to much for my $850.

You paid the full-Y fare did you? Or you paid for a discounted Y commercial ticket? There IS a difference.
"Cloned QF service..." "Expected too much..." Expecting too much from the Big Q is quite easy, as you state.
I really enjoy your wind up posts... Keep 'em coming, Champ

Tis easy to do, Mate! QF/ AO - there is a never ending supply of fresh, (very very real) ammunition (bait) and so many fish ready to bite!
....its the catch and effort realing em in which makes it so fun

I like the current AO uniform and i have often thought how appropriate it looks when i see it arund the airport. It is casaul and relaxed - befitting a holiday airline..
The Morrissey thing sounds good too - but i think the designers would be doing themselves a favour by loosing the ties, waist jackets and tunics. The QF ground and cabin crew look good in thier Morrisey - but the tunics aren't exactly flattering on some of the more 'fuller' figures.
What exactly do you hate about the jacket? I have a similar jacket as part of our company attire and i don't mind mine. Though it has no pockets, inside or out, which is annoying when your looking for somehwhere to put a pen. (And no i am not looking for suggestions as to where i can put a pen )

mid assist,
That's right, that was left out, because it's not what they were doing. Every airline has great crew and bad crew, so people shouldn't blanket QF crew or AO crew, there's good and bad apples in every business.

Does it really matter what the new AO uniform is,the only sure thing is that it won't be made in Australia and the majority of crew wearing it won't be either

Skywalker, Nah not cool mate, rather a complete dag, but you must be pretty hip and swinging to be current on the teenage mutant ninja turtles. circa early 90's. I bow down to your coolness. May we all follow in your hallowed footsteps

Well....you said it
Do you tell all of your mates that you are really good at stirring up the cabin crew on pprune ? Bet they're impressed.
So judging by your dag comment I take it you the techie that always turns up in the lobby for dinner with the crew wearing sneakers, denim cut off shorts (well above the knee I might add ) and that old coca cola promotional t-shirt you got back in 1988 when you were flying bank cheques around in the C152 ?
