Seasonal Crew

If you get employed by an airline as seasonal season is it hard to get a permenant position with the airline? Can you ever get a permenant with a charter airlinecrew for the summers ?

Hey there VA, I've a friend who worked for a charter airline out of LGW. He got a permanent contract after 9 months and that was with Mytravel. Nowdays, I think it would be dificult to get a permanent contract with them and all the other charters too. Have you applied to any?

Hi

I have been employed with TCX at BHX for the last summer and there are seasonal crew that have just finished their 5th summer and have only just been taken on as perm - its not a bad thing really as we have such a fantastic base / crew / management team that no one wants to move. crew who did their 3rd / 4th summer were given extended contracts tho so not too bad.

Apparantley tho BY give perm contracts quicker than TCX at BHX but I think it is a bigger base for them.

LGW and MAN are larger bases therefore you will get perm quicker.

hope that helps.
