Air Atlanta To Take Over My Travel

Heard a rumour that Air Atlanta are looking to take over My Travel Airways operations....is this just ridiculous unfounded gossip again, or does anyone out there know differently. I know their desperately hanging in there, but are they really that desperate?

Thumbs down Atlanta

Not being funny, with what money would they be buying anything?
A/C aside, there is no cash to fund such a move.

principally MyTravel isn't just an airline. The major part of Mytravel's business is as a tour operator...the airline is merely a tool in this process and there to provide seats to the tour operation. I can't see Air Atlanta wanting to saddle themsleves with a tour operator and airline with little purpose without a tour operator...!!!??

Yeah can see your point, but perhaps the group want to dispose of their aviation side by selling it off to another outfit who could subsequently operate their flying programme minus all the overheads.
Similar i guess to when Harry Goodmans Intasun group virtually shut down Air Europe in its early days & farmed all the flying pogramme out to British Airtours.
Personally I think its just another unfounded & speculative rumour!
