What's an inch between friends?

My friend fails to meet the airline height requirements by an inch.

Does any inch make any difference? Shouldnt it be how far you can reach?

Is there any airlines with no or lesser height restrictions?

An inch shouldn't make a difference, although i do find three inches is wide enough for most people

Sorry to hear about your friend Jinkster,I never knew there was a height restriction for flight crew, are the seats in a cockpit adjustable???

I've seen a captain in Dub who fly's ATR's, he is absolutly tiny, we call him "the greyhound jockey", yes; he is THAT small.

Sorry, my friend is a cabin crew wannabe!

She misses the height of 5ft 3" by 1 inch.

An Inch?

Height is proportional to wing span(fingertip to fingertip when arms are extended laterally). The minimum height is therefore necessary when calculating a candidate`s ability to guard a door in an emegency. Also when closing overhead lockers shorter individuals tend to stand on tip toe. Over time this causes lower back problems which can become chronic. This leads to increased sick leave which the bean counters determine as a cost
