GB Airways Interview
Hi Guys,
I have an interview with GB AIRWAYS in a couple of weeks time and I have tried doing a search to get some info, but the last thread and comments date back over a year ago.
I would really like to hear from current GB crew that could give me details about the usual things, ie. work conditions, pay, etc..
Thanks very much and Happy New Year to everyone.
Regards,
Sol.

GT Interview
Hi There !
First of all, congratulations on you interview invitation. I've been Cabin crew for GB Airways for over 2 years now and I must admit that the first year wasn't very easy. You work long hours and crewing expect a lot from you, especially during the high season when there are so many flights operating. Well, what can I say about the company, the cabin crew there are absolutely lovely, obviously you get the odd one that take their job way to seriously, but I must admit that most of the flights are a good laugh ! Paywise, well, it's a cabin crew position so the pay is not brilliant, you can clear between £1,000 to £1,200 for main crew per month. Workwise, you get an average of 25 sectors during the winter but unfortunatly, be prepared to do quite a few "there and backs" to the Canaries ! During the busy period, my max number of sectors was 40.
Upper management team is really good and I have excellent things to say about the Cabin Crew Performance Manager (wish I could say the same about the base supervisors). Stop over wise, not very good. You get the off Malaga and Faro during the summer, but nothing during the winter. If you apply for LHR preference base, you'll enjoy evenings in Marrakech.
Interview wise, well, it's been a while since I had mine, but be prepared for a math test, but don't worry, it's not rocket science. Just review currency conversions and simple calculus. You'll be presented with a small video about the company. Try and remember most of the destinations GB flies to, along with the Fleet (A320 and A321), also remember the name of the Chairman (Gaggero).
During the group activities (2 in total) try not to be over powering, but DO NOT sit still without saying a word ! Participate the most you can, and also keep an eye on who is being quiet during the group exercise, for example, if Peter is not saying a word, try to get his attention with catch phrases such as "What do you think about this Peter ?" (this is a good tip and highly appreciated by most interviewers).
During the 2 to 1, be honest, friendly, and just show them that you are really interested in brining your skills to the company
Hope you do ok. If you need anymore help, do let me know.
Good Luck !
