GB Airways and B MED
Hey there guys and gals Im just after a bit of advice really, Im currently flying from LGW with another airline, but Im really interested in working for either GB Airways or B Med but dont know much about what they are both like to work for. I have a brief look on their website, but I was wondering if there is anyone out there who could give me some further information about what they are like to work for and how much they pay is and what nightstops there are, etc etc!!
Hope anyone can give me some information! Thanks!

Before you sling the muck at GB -- is it really as bad as you think/say ???
Check out Ryanair and similars - And as I am sure you know MYT aint no fun worrying about the future !
The glamour and status has gone from our work the low cost outfits put pay to the 3 day trips and lay over days here-there-and everywhere. The job aint what it used to be, never will be and working conditions and alike are only going to be eroded further.
I accept that from the Flight Deck my view may be a bit tinted but anyone keen on coming in to the job must understand that the working conditions in ANY airline, inlcuding BA has changed from the good old days and as a crew we work much much harder wherever we are.
"Same Sh*te different colour" - I believe is the term !

Dont join Gash Bag Airways (GB)....Crew morale so low, awful wages.....I could go on.
Dont get me wrong, had good time when I first started ,ilke what Jet A1 said (3 days trips, good money). I also understand that yes...most airlines are cutting back etc. But I have never seen so many people treated so badly, harshly in all my years of working for a company.

Hi storm
Have friends that work for both companies.
GB is work intensive and have several nightstops abroad
but I am not too sure on what their take home pay is... if you like a more "home" lifestyle then GB could be for you.
BMED is all medium/longhaul and can have you away from home for up to 6 days at a time. Again dont know what the take home pay is but my sources say it is a good crack. ie fun times down route.
Sorry cant offer any more info

If I was going to work for either it would be B-Med, I have alot of mates there and it is supposed to be reasnoble there. GB is really bad, a friend of mine left there having only been there 3 months - she was an experienced flyer and worked for a few airlines before but said it was the worst place ever.
I have heard a rumour about B-Med though, that their franchise is up for renewal sometime soon and it does not look as if it will be renewed. Therefore I don't know what the future holds with them.
If you want an airline out of Gatwick then why not try Astraeus, Excel or Esayjet?
