I would say that this is for seasonal crew. They have made lots of full time employee's redundant but they still need loads of crew for the summer.

Guys, this is an internet Bulletin Board board, not a moblie phone. Uncle Danny pays a lot of money for a fancy server and we don't need to save space, honestly not.
Please use the full text version instead of text message speak.

Cool

The reason MYT are looking for more crew is they have lost more than they expected and have offered some of those they have layed off their jobs back.

The same will almost certainly be true for flight deck by the spring for the same reason.

They are in a no win situation at the moment regarding staff retention. Had a lot of fun over the years with MYT, good bunch of folks to work with, good luck with the application.

This is what happenned at MYT this year..............

They had to make permanent staff redundant so to avoid getting rid of them totally they changed thier contract to a permanent seven month contract employing them from April-October (7/5. 7 months on 5 months off) fininshing end of october.

Some went to Helsinki and will be back April-October.

The jobs advertised on Aviation job search will be for temporary seasonal crew. There will be a long waiting list now to get a permanent contract for new starters as all the ones who have had to go on the 7/5 contracts will have priority of becoming permanent again.

I wouldn't bother wasting my time as seasonal crew with MYT I'm afraid as you will be temporary for ages. I would prefer to invest my career with an airline that can show me light at the end of the tunnel with a permanent contract.

Great bunch of people and I hope they get their well deserved jobs back soon.

Just goes to show you though a permanent contract doesn't really mean that much when it can be changed like that!
