Flightline @ MAN

Does anybody have an news on the flightline base at Manchester regarding the proposed new entrants course in OCT-NOV this year???

Also is the rumour true of them buying 2xMD83's? Where will they be based and what routes would they be operating??

Many thanks for any info.

Heard the MD83 idea had been dropped but I could be wrong.

Not seen Flightline about at Manch yet, anyone else seen them?

Two MD's (83 & 81) mentioned are two ex Spanair models presently parked at Southend where they have resided for six months or more. They are maintained by a MAN engineering company. The original use for the MD's was for a N African operation using Flightlines AOC or operated by them using a local AOC. If indeed they were for MAN what routes would you do.

Fliteline wont fly these MD's. I bet they won't even get the KWI operation off the ground. Not their fault though from what I hear. They do all the hard donkey work only for the KWI end to slow things down. So, Fliteline won't operate the MD's on their own without the help from an outside source and using KWI as an example, it aint gonna happen.....Real shame, bigger and better things would do Fliteline the world of good.

FLIGHTLINE

Hi there...
I work for Flightline...
They have 3 bases: Aberdeen, Manchester and the head office Southend on Sea.

The are a small but very friendly V.I.P, charter company. The Aberdeen crew mainly do the oil contracts. The Manchester base is rather new and still developing we are all experienced crew and are a friendly base. The Manchester crew do everything from charters in Italy to Prague to Manchester- Heathrow. Southend on Sea do alot of the V.I.P and Charter work.

We get a great variety and no day is ever the same....
To be honest I think it is just the perfect amount of flying... we also do alot of work for British Airways from Manchester.

With regards to the MD8's nothing has been confirmed but they are looking into them...
We have BAE 146's at the moment.

The reason people might not have seen us at Manchester yet is because we have 2 x 146's but they are plain white with only FLIGHTLINE in green on the side... nothing on the tail nothing anywhere esle....

They like to be able to fit into any work they undertake any work...

As far as a future career goes and do not know if they are recruiting at the moment but it is a very small, friendly and nice company to work for... everyone is very firendly...

The website address is www.flightline.ltd.uk hope that is of some help....

Flightline have had a base at MAN for quite a while.
2 BAe146-200 are based there.
The aircraft operate for BA and various other UK/European airline + do a lot of charter work in the summer months.
However they are not recruiting cabin crew for MAN at the moment .
