RATE your QF Galaxy Experience!
Hey guys and girls...just wondering how everyone would rate the new Galaxy service?
1 = MOST POOR
2
3 = AVERAGE
4
5 = EXCELLENT
a) As a customer how did you enjoy the new service? What rating?
b) As a customer what do you think of the new products/meals? what rating?
c) As crew what do you think of the new product for the customer?
d) As crew does the new product fit into the service well?
e) Any extra comments: ie: As crew does the service work well on 737? or is it more difficult to do on larger aircraft/short sectors? Is it manageable? What customer feedback have you received?
MY answer
a) 4 (better presentation then previous)
b) 4 (Quite like it so far)
c) 3 (I aint QF crew but it looks like it could be damn hard work)
e) 3 ( Again aint QF crew but it looks like on 737s its ok but on 2 aisles you'd be running!)
comment: not really sure if it would save money??

All QF have done is take the crap which was in the box, out of it. Now crew have to do the catering centres job and make up trays on the fly as everything is bulk loaded.
Just another cost saving by Dixon, Hassell, Grant. They have made redundant catering staff who used to do this job. Was sad talking to some of them last week, their last day at Qantas.

Ahh................but look at the bright side.
The savings made by sacking those loyal workers will go a long way to ensuring Geoff Dixon gets his AUD $1.6 million dollar performance bonus this year.

actually caught up with some old workmates since galaxy started.....it's caused for extra hire of casual workers and alot of overtime. Catering staff have said it's more work. I'm not sure if it's a teething thing but having examined everything with a catering background it is quite fiddly.

galaxy,thats were it belongs
the new service does belong in the galaxy and not on an aircraft. having recently travelled a number of times in business, the so called new service is quit a disaster. seating next to a stressed suitwarrior we waited and waited on the evening flight for
a) a meal
b) a drink
by the time the flight attendants came to the last row we had 3 minutes left and then we were on descent.
needless to say the suit decided it was his last businessclass flight on qf. apparently qf saves 6 million this way. once again they office mugs do not care about the passengers who actualy pay their inflated wages and bonuses.
its another good way of downgrading the service.
