Qf Telesales Job
Hey Everyone,
As some of you know I have been trying to make my way into Qantas.
Today I acheived my goal! Qantas called me and offered me a position in QF Telephone Sales in Melbourne.
I am stoked! Have to say I am really proud to start my career in the aviation industry working for the best Airline in the world!
To everyone trying to get a job in the Airlines, Good luck and your day will come one day!

i have heard from numerous pax that when they travel with virgin blue they get such friendly f/a but when they travel with QF the f/a dont smile or care about them. this comes from a range of customers too, ranging from leasure to corporate.

I hope you've changed your attitude, because the QF FAs you referred to are now going to be your colleagues.
Oh, and we also have very long memories.

as they say you only remember the people that most annoy you. When andyman first started posting he said some stupid things about both QF, DJ and its crew and irked quite a few pplz. Ppl are going to remember what you said about his employer and his now coleagues and thats his problem.
btw when your having a go at someone about a bitchy post, not the best idea to follow it up with one of your own
Id rather work with someone who has a long memory than someone who doesnt think i can do my job properly and is going to try and undercut me.

First of all, apologies if my post offended you personally. As mentioned by Ascent, andyman has said some quite stupid things about both Qantas and DJ which offended many people.
My personal thoughts are that you don't poo in your own nest. If you want to work for QF then don't go trashing them, as it won't do you any favours later on when the very people you are trashing then later on become your workmates.
I am sure that andyman has learnt his lesson and will work with the utmost professionalism and respect in his new career. There is no doubt that he has worked very hard on himself to get where he is now, hence the reason I offered him good luck.
Everyone on this site are very supportive of those attempting to gain entry into the career of their dreams, however I don't appreciate my colleagues being demeaned in any way by someone that has no idea what they do. I make no apologies for that.

I got over it ages ago. It was my personal opinion at the time. I wasn't out to hurt anyone I was just really praising the DJ staff for being so friendly and they actualy do look happy when they are working.
Anyway I think you are so upset coz you beleive what I said is really true.
Take a look at your actions in topic....and you wonder why some f/a's get a bad name.

Fair enough, everyone does make posts that they later think, oops, i shouldn't have said that, however like every airline there are a few bad apples in each who like to make everyone elses day miserable, but they're just miserable in general! But generally 99% of QF crew put in a lot of effort with their passengers and do spend a lot of time smiling. You must remember though, we are human and need to give smiling a rest for at least one minute a day! Obviously someone has caught a F/A during this one minute and has decided to generalise! Overall, if you come across a F/A with a funny attitude, please don't blanket all of us with the same opinion!
Another thing, may i remind you that DJ are encouraged to be very over the top and extremely loud & in your face as that is the look DJ want their crew to have ( & thats ok) , QF are the same, except they do it in a different way and also a lot of the time appeal to a different market.
