Hi all,

I was wondering if I could get a little help on this.

A good friend(wink wink) is considering leaving her current job with an airline over here in NZ and going to VB.

The question, what are conditions like for cabin crew, how hard are you worked and what is the pay like.

I know these sorts of questions are a little toucheeeee so feel free to PM me if you don't want to disclose anything publicly.

you can check out the DJ EBA (which includes pay and allowances as well as conditions) @ http://www.wagenet.gov.au . You can also check out what QF and AO get paid there as well.

When I had an interview with DJ when they first launched the base pay they were offering was $35,000 p.a. Plus allowances.

This was roughly three years ago, so I don't know how that compares to today.

It's better then what you'll get anywhere in NZ. With the o/n pay, I have no doubt brand new DJ fa's are earning more then I am as a purser with a full service carrier in NZ.
