Exclamation Antipodean Air Charter

Due to the nature of the current set up of this company and several issues raised, we have decided not to discuss this possible operation until we have had more information about its owners and the company.

Whilst it is understandable that many of you want to discuss this company and some are interested in applying, we have reason to believe that you would be much better off holding fire for the moment. Once we are satisfied that everything is above board we will then let you carry on discussing here on PPRuNe. In the meantime, this will be the only mention the company gets.

You have been warned!

I dont think this is very fair for those who have applied to Antipodean Air Charter and would like to communicate with each other about progress of the operation and share any latest information.
If people have some problem with it then they dont have to read it!
Im sorry but I just find this very unfair!

Yeh but they dont have to read the AAC part if they dont want to, but they should allow others to discuss it.

I have only been on this forum a couple of days and have to say i have found it unnecessarily bitchy and unfriendly. I suppose ill have to find another AIRLINE forum where your allowed to discuss ALL AIRLINES freely.

Lewis,

Indeed you are right in mentioning there is a lot of bitching, complaining and gereral negativity on this forum.
However there are many good natured, funny and informative people that would give you the shirt off their back.

I myself have tried my best to remain polite and positive when logged on, it is at times difficult when others seem to incite an argument.
Turning the other cheek is indeed a test it seems only the master was capable of passing.

I am sure once Danny is satisfied that Antipodean is a legitimate operation the post will be able to resume.
Like Antipodean, Pprune is not a public company and can be run basically how management want it to run, Danny and the moderators are very fair in relation to the workings of this site,
we have nothing really to complain about.

Lewis and Ranjha.........BBs like this do have a legal obligation to what appears on them. Perhaps Danny is feeling a little uncomfortable with the way the AAC discussion is developing and for "legal" reasons he has put a temporary hold on it.
He is answerable to any court decisions that go against Pprune, not anyone else.

I agree with fourplay on this matter. Although the forum has been removed, there is nothing to stop us using the chat room or even private messages is there? I can understand why moderators have removed the subject, but for those of us that will be working for AAC, lets just wait until the airline is stronger. That way, everything positive we have discussed will be a big slap in the face for those that have continuously knocked this venture!!

Exclamation Eeena

That was not a wise post possum, it will be removed by late morning UK time I am sure.

People are unaware of the way this company is structured and registered at present... including licensing.

All will be revealed soon, I do appreciate it does not look promising with the information available.
You do not have the full picture!

Do you think it is fair to post a personal message without the authorisation of the sender? Well, it's not. Especially when the sender was surely doing you a favour by explaining what I'm sure most members here have already understood: this board is doing its best to protect its members trying not to incur in legal problems at the same time. The reasons why have been very plainly explained by Danny, re-read his post if there's something you didn't get the first time. Please try and appreciate this fact instead of turning into paranoid mode.

explanation for my behaviour...

FlyBlue

Seems as though I am getting on the wrong side of everyone on this site. I fully understand what Danny said. That was not the problem. The reason I posted that last "erased" message, for every other members benefit, was to show how much this subject is getting out of hand! The PM sent to me (by a moderator who should know better), was not doing me a favour by explaining anything at all as you will have read - it was simply another negative comment about AAC and if anything a sarcastic joke about the chances of this company being operational. It was simply not neccessary to send a PM and was very upset by that particular persons attitude towards the AAC.

I thought this forum was designed for crew and others, to thoroughly discuss certain topics, i.e. AAC. What started out to be a good discussion, quickly turned into a slamming match, and I can understand why it was removed for legal reasons. This company has been given unneccessary negative comments, and some individuals are going to far as to try and expose Glen to be a fake/a hoax. I don't feel this is fair on Glen or the "soon-to-be" crew such as myself, who want desperately for this company to be a success. And so it shall be!!

I have had nothing to say apart from good things about AAC, and have given support to all others that are involved. I was simply making the point, that such behaviour should not be tolerated by anyone - however it has been turned around so as I have been publicly "told off" for my behaviour.

Therefore, to all the members on this website - I publicly APOLOGISE for my behaviour and sincerely regret anything I may have said to offend anyone.

I know we are not allowed to discuss it, but I cant find the AAC webpage. I wonder if this is an indication of the operation not getting underway?

Hi Ena

I can get to the press release page but it says it hasn't been updated since the 16th August. I can't find anywhere on the website that says they have aircraft now.

BTW: I have been invited to an assessment day for Qantas.

Angry Bad jokes!

I for one am not impressed with this sort of joke!
A lot of people are looking to this thread regularly for any information on AAC they can get.
What you posted was very juvenile.

I would not like to work with such idiots,
and that is being polite for the sake of others.
If you cannot make a constructive or informative post why bother? :

Sorry about all the inconvience caused by me. sincerely appologise again.

System crash

Glen is getting communication back on track after a system crash.
He is attempting to answer a back log of enquiries.

There is a Sept 9 website update stating emails will be going out shortly to those being interviewed in PERTH on Sept 22 regarding a venue change.
