bmi baby

Help me, I'm confused
I applied for bmi baby, bhx, 10 days ago. I've heard nothing. I friend of mine applied three days after, has interview already. She has been told that if you want to work for bmi baby, you have to work for bmi out of lhr for 12 months first, then you can transfer. Is this true? Has anyone else not heard from them yet? I'm starting to wonder what's wrong with me.

yes iain this info is true, they will be basing 3 aircraft at BHX initially.

They are looking for 45 cabin crew to start the base off, these positions have been offered internally first so it depends on how many people wish to transfer bases as to how many new entrants they will be taking.

But on the other hand they will be looking to fill spaces at other bases if people transfer so NEMA could be a possiblilty if you are not bothered which base you want?

Bmi & Bmibaby are 2 totally different companies, although Bmi still hold the purse strings!!! there is no way you would be workin for Bmi then comin to baby, perish the thought!!

Don't know much about baby, but steer clear of bmi!! If you want a life and to be treated like an adult go elsewhere!! Not too sure if baby is the same as don't work for them.

They treat you like dirt, the crew are constantly arguing for what we are entitled to, constant changes to our rosters. The crew are now not bothering to take notice of our rosters as they will be changed anyway. Its a total shambles!! Many crew have left for other airlines and even to non flying jobs as bmi just take all the fun away from the job. Please, please, if you are told to go to LHR for 12 months before, DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!

Regards Polly

Hope all goes well

Hi Iain

bmibaby is HARD WORK. I worked for bmi for a long time then got transferred to baby. 0600 starts and getting home at 1700 - 1800 hrs is not my idea of a life....6 days on and a late finish to an early start is normal. I stayed for a month and there finished a career with bmi that had spanned twenty years...........
I dunno what TFly are like - but you might be jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire!

Morning folks

I heard that bmibaby have now started running all their recruitment from their head office at NEMA. It all used to be done by bmi mainline at LHR, but they've now taken it back.

They've already held some interviews but apparantly the person in charge of recruitment isn't very competant at remembering where they put your application form if you get my meaning here

Perhaps best to keep calling them, take the persons name and make sure you get your interview.

TBD x
