Virgin Blue

hi Guys!!

Just wanted to hear from anyone who may be attending the training in Melbourne for cabin crew in early May.

I have just been excepted (yippyyy!!!!!) and I am relocating from the Gold Coast to the Melbourne base, anyone in my situation or who has been in my situation, how did you go???? Is it a difficult move????? And can you request a transfer in the future????

Would appreciate any feed back!!!

Thanks in advance

Devil A bit out of the ordinary...

Hiya!

Congrats on gettin in. It really is a great job and I'm sure you'll love it. Being Brizzy based I can't tell you anything about what the move will be like, cos I've been here for about 20 yrs. Left Melbourne when I was 10. But wht I can say is that you are probably one of VERY FEW that have chosen to move south!!! There is an abundance of crew living in Sufferrer's Paradise that have moved north, or down from BNE but I can honestly say that I've never heard of anyone doing what you are about to.

MEL is a gorgeous city but in months to come, be sure to wear your Big Red Jacket or you'll freeze. The Cabin Crew down there seem lovely and the Base Manager is one of the most wonderful people on the planet!

The ground crew are pretty cool too and there is no shortage of "fully sick" facial hair designs amongst the ramp guys.

Have a great time and we'll probably work together soon. (Although never know it)

Hello all!!

I attended a Virgin Blue Cabin Crew group session a few months ago, however I was unsuccesful

They say we can't apply again for another 12 months - does anyone know if this rule still applies if you're recommended by someone from Virgin?

Thanks in advance!

Scotty

Hey Scotty,

This doesn't answer your direct question about someone recommending you but I send VB an email asking if under any circumstances can you reapply without having to wait 12 months and I was sent an email saying "No but thanks for the enthusiasm etc". It seemed as though it was a bit of a standard bulk email that they send out though so not sure how final it is. I will keep emailing and begging them for another chance and let you know how I go. I choked so bad at my assessment day I feel sick thinking about it and so desperately want another chance!!!
I don't really know anyone at Virgin for the recommending program anyway so that aspect does not really help me. Good Luck!!!

(Would love to hear from anyone that even knows of anyone that attended another assessment day within the 12 month period!!!)
