So whats really happening with Now-Airlines?

Just wondering if anyone here knows if this airline is gonna happen, they hired heaps of crew, trained 2 thirds of them, and then made EVERYBODY redundant???

Any clues??

Just sitting at home waiting for news. The "regular" email update didn't materialise this Sunday, which makes me jittery. It's my girlfriend who worked for them briefly in November, it all seemed to be full steam ahead, then day 3 of the course, "we can't pay you, we'd like you to take no money and take there shares worth nothing, or disappear for 8 weeks until we get the important thing in, the money!". How dare they mess with people's lives, so many people left perfectly good jobs to go to NOW. Shame on the NOW managers for not giving any propective employees an inkling as to the precarious state of their affairs.

I know, tell me about it, luckily i was due to start Jan 3rd, then it got put back till Feb 14th, and i got the spiel about the GREAT share scheme, but in all fairness to Lars he said the timeline would be 2 weeks so i will be expecting an e mail on sunday, but i have take employement with a trusted airline now, so i guess the efforts of the Now team to keep hold of thier staff is a loosing battle, lets hope they get the 6m very soon, so they can get back on track, i somehow think they will need to re recruit

The NOW head office at Halcyon House......or is it Rushden......has been stripped of all computers and desks...Its been locked up for weeks now. I feel so sorry for the people who left perfectly good jobs to start with what they saw as an exciting opportunity! I hope everyone finds something that makes them happy (if NOW doesn't take off!)

Hi there.
Well, I've started with NOW in november and moved to Luton but........Now I've been offered a job as cabin crew by Kuwait Airways and I am going for Kuwait on the 25 of february.....But if NOW ever start flying I may consider re-joining them....
We've really felt too bad about what had happened as some of us had to move from Londn or even Manchester to Luton and left quite good jobs for it, but....
Hope they will start flying soon..

I'd take the other jobs even if NOW started tomorrow. So they get funding, but even so doesn't guarantee a permanent position... Just that they got going, finally.

Well, no news, which wasn't unexpected as no news came last Sunday. This is now turning into a terrible nightmare. Do any of the other ex NOW employees think now that they were literally taken for a ride by NOW management? To say nothing is absolutely disgusting, as those involved were given an upbeat email 2 weeks ago, practically assuring success this time round. But to say nothing for 2 weeks even to say "definite news next week etc" is deploreable. Doesn't the top man realise he has ruined so many lives and he knows that many hang on his every word to turn their situation round. No conscience whatsoever.

Hi there.
See why don't you try to find something else by the time the situation with NOW get set up?I'm a foreigner in UK and I left my job in London and moved to Luton and rented a flat there to hear that we will be redundant but still I was lucky to get a job with Kuwait Airways......There are many airlines recruiting at the moment...Why don't you just try to join one of them and then see what will happened?I know it's difficult for you but nothing can be done in this situation...And just waiting to hear from them is not a solution either.....Many of the ex-crew have got job in one or another airline.....So that's the best you can do.....I've sent to you my private e-mail...Lokk at your private messages and do mail me if you want and if you'll feel more comfortable....
Maria
