BA Citi-Express

Any guys about that are currently with BACX at MAN ?

Please can you advise what they are like to work for ? If you were to come from BA LHR onto regional at MAN as want to return up North but then in 5 years or so what the regs are on going back, I know you have to resign from BA to go to BACX then would have to re-apply to BA LHR/LGW should you want to return, does being part of BACX stand you in good faith of getting into BA should you want to go there later in life ?

Whats the pay scales like etc and kind of trips, I know it is also Unionised with CC89 so that must be something good on their behalf as far as the Cabin Crew are concerned ??

Many thanks and look forward to your input and comments soon.

ba-user,

PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT leave mainline to go to CitiExpress. I can assure you that it will be the worst thing you will ever do.
I used to work for them - and don't get me wrong, i'm very grateful that working for them gave me the experience that i needed in order to get into mainline - but that company is a complete joke from beginning to end.
The aircraft are vile (either extremely small or really grotty); money is horrendous (£1100 max. in a GOOD month); rosters are terrible (5 sector days (operating on all of them, no positioning) back to back are not un-heard of); crew control don't know their arse from their elbow; management make one massive cock-up after another; product is DISGUSTING; scheduling aggreement is not worth the paper it's written on; no union support whatsoever (BASSA is'nt recognised for most cabin crew, only the ex-BAR crew; CC89 are useless, they couldn't give a toss - i know this from personal experience) and the company is in a very shaky condition financially indeed.

I'm not slagging them off - i'm being completely truthful. If you don't believe me try and find out from somebody who works for them.
Honestly, you will lose so much if you jump ship and join them.

P.S.

Forgot to say that you would have to apply externally to get back into mainline again. There are no transfer rights, only for the ex-BAR crew, and about 85% of them have transferred, or are due to very soon, to LHR. That would give you another indication that things are not good.
