Jetstar uniforms

Just wondering??? does anyone have ANY idea what the jetstar uniform is going to look like???

I know this will attract alot of attention and people will say things and people will disagree but I remember several months before flypacificblue.com was announced as the international carrier for virginblue someone posted "pacificblue" as the official name for the carrier. Now that was highly accurate for something several months before it came out.

So ....i wonder how accurate the jetstar uniform suggestions will be?

I heard a great one the other day and that is that the current QFLink uniform will go to Australian Airlines after Jetstar start-up and that QFLink being Sunstate, Eastern and Airlink will go into the current QF mainline uniform. I highly doubt this rumour but the QFLink colour would look great in Australian Airlines.

haha.
I'll bet we do! We're a gorgeous looking bunch you know!
We don't have the international uniform though. Our scarves, pochettes etc are "ochre" while mainline's are "rock"
The rest is the same.

Sorry Cart-tart I was referring to the colours of "ochre" and "Rock" when talking about the different uniforms.

Jetstar duds

Am looking forward to seeing what they come up with. I guess it's likely they'll do the "casual" thing, like DJ, which is good in some ways, but there's nothing like seeing a well-dressed bunch of FAs going about town - like the other day at lunchtime in Perth, walking down Hay St were a bunch of QF (international I assume) FAs and the pilots, the girls were all really gorgeous, it was quite funny watching the businessmen out for lunch trying not to stare too obviously!

Ahem. back on track here, before the mod gets me

At first I didn't like the idea of the silver/orange color scheme for Jet*, but I think they could really do something good uniforms-wise with those colours. Perhaps do something "cute" like give the girls little star stud earrings or have stars on the badges (which im sure they've thought of already - the badges i mean)

soviet style

LOL Skysista I was out at Family a couple of Friday nights ago when they had their winter and ice theme night...they had a few ladies wearing those russian soviet union style hats....they were all white with a silver star on the front!!!

....here goes....what if they had little hats that were orange with a silver star LOL??

Now before everyone else pukes...

how about matching orange cabin crew bags???

Lol!!

That's a cool idea Mikey!!

I'm a fan of those hats myself - they're kind of cute. Pity we don't get much chance to have anything like that here in WA. *sigh*

I could just see them doing the whole Russian military-style uniform - not! (But the hats are a cute idea - different anyway)

Those hats are kind of similar to the 60's pillbox hats - with orange and silver - they could really do a retro 60's uniform (I can hear some of you right now...... )

jetstar glammy

No way Skysista i think it woudl be cool! as long as it was practical...a touch of retro would be great! It'd help bring back a little bit of glam to it!!! I think the market out there would love it!!! a Leisure airline??? lots of holiday travellers would love some glam and a bit of romance!!

Retro...

Hmm...

I guess a Liz Hurley style silver minidress is out of the question then?

I really liked those cute bags the Pan Am girls had, there was a particular uniform they showed in "Catch Me If You Can" that was cool, though I didn't like the rest... hmmm a simple dress with the little pillbox hat (with a star of course) along with a nice neat short jacket would do the trick, it's all in the style...!

Though I guess I'd have to think twice about a minidress Maybe just a regular dress then.

To stay slightly on topic, one of my sister's friends flies as FA for an airline here (DJ I think), she's planning to get her pilot's license too.

Catchy!

Skysista they should have a few different Jetstar uniforms to suit different sizes and shapes. I know the contraversial Qantas uniform has had mixed responses. I have seen the dress look great on some ladies but then not so great on others. Yet with a jackets and pants etc...it looks different again.

Skysista...I actually have those very Pan Am bags that you are talking about!! They look GREAT!!! Very trendy and very catchy lol

Little orange jetstar ones would definately be hip!!!

versatile uniforms...

I agree - there does need to be a few options for the differing "figures", (like pnats, but you could still do 'cute jacket' with that)

Have to admit, I'm not a big fan of the QF print dresses, as you say, some are hot, some not!! The International serving jacket is very cute though.

I like the shoes Gwyneth wears on the poster for "View From the Top" - the little T-bar ones - retro but not go-go boots or anything!!!

Shoes: not a great pic but you get the idea

Something like this:

Retro, yet classy and do-able today. Those hats are too cute!

My guess.

Lots of grey (silver) or black with orange piping/detail.

no! i am going to have to go and watch it now!

i heard we are getting wings at least. speaking of which,
has anyone else been told to not wear their wings on their new uniform or is it just us? We got told the other day to remove them and wear only the square name badge. few guesses as to why!!
