How do you rate 'Emirates'

I'm thinking of applying to Emirates but have heard a mixed bag about working conditions and pay.... not to mention culture differences.
Can anyone let us know about what its really like to work for them? Lots of obnoxious pax trying to grab you and being demanding- or is this just a myth?
They seem to be recuiting from everywhere at the moment.

I have two close friends who both work for EK.
One absolutely loves it and the other can't wait for the contract to end.
From what I understand, if your prepared to work hard and live in halfway across the world its quite a good experience.
Its all subjective though - 50% will say its ace and 50% will say its !!!!e....
My view is if your prepared to move countries and do the hard yards have a go, you can always come home if you don't like it!
