Hiring Limitations

Ex pilot thinking about becoming cabin crew. Is there an upper age limit for employment as cabin crew on the major carriers?

Is it likely that Airlines would employ older personnel?

What is the average range of salary one can expect ?

strange, normally other way around!!

depends on who you apply for, all i know from flying with Britannia is there were 3 or 4 people on my course who were 45+.

i lived with a guy who was ex RAF of 20 years as a caterer, he was 45 or so if i remember rightly.

don't know about anyone else, but press recently saying getting rid of crew that are too old at B.A. at mo so that is probably no go.

i am in same boat at mo, trying to get into Emirates, but fear am too old, and married for them.

Hope this helps

DOn't quote me please!!

Daily Mail on Weds or Thures last week. There was an article written about a couple of pilots and cabin crew and how they were reducing retirment age to 55 or something equally ridiculous.

So kinda assumed that they may not want to recruit the more mature person.

Sorry if mis leading
