I believe the recruitment (a guess) would be around March/April, as training schools would need to be conducted to cover the extra aircraft joining the fleet from June/July.
I understand they already have two training schools planned for the start of next year (which were always going to go ahead) - whether or not they go ahead as planned currently or are brought forward who knows?
With appoximately 300-400 FA's required over the next year and a half, get your Expression of Interest logged onto cabincrew.staffcv.com (link via the JetStar website).
May we live in interesting times...

Jetstar
Hi there,
My friend just had an interview with Jetstar yesterday. He initially applied to Impulse in May this year and got right through bar the final interview. They then put a freeze on recruitment and then called him up out of the blue last week and asked him to come in for an interview.
What they told him was if he's successful he will start training in Feb and work for Impulse and then suddenly one day it will just change to Jetstar. I gather they won't be advertise until next year as they already have Impulse staff who will switch over.
Call the Results Centre they always have this information on hand. It is really handy to do their course before you apply as well as they will help you through the interview process so you will get it right the first time.
Good luck!

the interviews that were held in the last few days were people from the shortlist they had compiled a while ago. Ground School begins Feb.. a nice christmas present indeed!!!
I have heard that will be the last 717 Ground School, the next recruitment will be for the A320s and is anticipated around April/May.. but as Mr Seatback said, get your applications in now!!

Apart from the initial intake interviews for Cabin Crew in Brisbane, has anyone else heard anything from Jetstar about Cabin Crew interviews in the future?
Cheers

yes, the current EBA stays till 2005 i think. Pay and conditions will be the same as now except the overnight allowances wont be there anymore as there will be no more overnights in the forseeable future.

Hey everyone!
I have been invited to a Jetstar group session for Cabin Crew in Brisbane on Wednesday 14th April.
Is anyone else here going on that day?
Can anyone help me with what to expect? What sought of activities do they use on the day etc.
Also, should I wear a suit to the interview?
Thanks very much in advance for your help!!!

I know they were in Hobart earlier this year. Will be down again before mid year me thinks.
Recruiting people have stated they don't attract much interest in seminars unfortunately. They also said Impulse accept very few from people down there. Most positions are filled with new recruits from the Mainland. It is funny to look at the Tranfer List. There is a couple of people from HBA that have their name on every base list! It can't be that bad
Having said that the crew we have down there who are true Tasmanians are fantastic (as are all our crew). Seems they always have fun anyway!

hey!
I dont know if im posting this too late to be of any help, I havent been on here in ages im sorry...
I went to a Jetstar cabin crew interview a while back. Umm, say 2 months ago. I'm 19 years old, and I was by far the youngest there... I got asked to come back for a second interview the following day, however that was as far as it went unfortunately!
There was only about 40 people there, tables of around about 7 with an assessor at each table.
They went through a brief introduction, run down of the company and the proceedings for the day. Very nice, but very straight forward and professional, no messing about.
We had to tell our table a little about ourselves, for a minute I think it was. Just be happy and interesting, Smile!
There were two brief problem solving games from there. The first one was one of those information ones:
There are four men, called John, Scott, Bob and Tim. Tim weighs the most. Bob is the shortest. Bob has blonde hair. The blonde hair man is taller than.... and blah blah blah...
Everyone gets their set of information and you have to work to bring all information together and come to a conclusion of who is the shortest tallest blah blah....
The second one was more interesting:
You have 6 people on a life raft that can only hold 5 people. Who do you get rid of? You have a nurse, pregnant lady, police officer, chef, student and priest.
So then basically you just discuss and come up with your answer.
Like everyone says, there is no right answer! Just talk, mix with everyone. Enjoy yourself. As everyone says, don't be the leader, don't talk over anyone else. It's all about listening! The morning goes quickly, its over before you know it and you have actually had a good time!
They told us they would call VERY soon. No messing about! And they called a few hours later
Definately wear a suit!
I was happy about how I went. My first try with any airline so I was very nervous, but proud to be there with all these people that had '10 years with Ansett' and 'currently working with Qantas'. I felt quite little and inexperienced but I am definately keen to try again at the end of the year when I feel a little more wise in the ways of the world
Take care,

Never give up!
Scarlett Lucy!
I say good on you darling...you have done well
Going on personal experience...I have proceeded thru to the final stage of F/Att interviews with JETSTAR. I have seen many ex Ansett and current Qantas, Eastern and Virgin people not get through this far........so pleeeeeeeeaaaase don't be put off. Just because they are ex airline peeps or current, the selection criteria is most certainly MERIT based.
I wish you all the best of luck and hope to see you flying above your clouds hun!
All the best...

Jetstar recruitment
I just wanted to say good luck to all those out there trying for positions as cabin crew.I am shortlisted with Qantas but was lucky enough to secure a pos with Jetstar!!!!The whole process was fast, efficient, and professional..I was relaxed and made feel welcome in every interview.I have been for interviews with Australian,VirginBlue and Qantas. They are all different,I wouldnt criitcise any of them, they are all looking for different types of people though,I think, but thats only my opinion.I have been trying for two years and had experience but think you just have to have what they are looking for with each individual airline.I believe if you have too much information on their processes,it makes it more difficult and is easier if you just know the guidelines.I went thru with some people who had done the flight attendant course and it seemed invaluable to them,so if you havnt flown before,it is money well spent...So,good luck again to everyone out there and may you all achieve your dreams1! Ps,,I dont know about other bases, they are currently doing Brisbane second interviews and will be doing other ports in the near future..Melbourne should come up soon!!

The JETSTAR interviews
Well said Toowoomba Girl.....
Thru the JETSTAR inteviews there have been both great ex-airline as well as some fantastic non-airline applicants for Flight Attendant.
I can personally say that I am looking forward to working with you guys I have met thru the whole interview process. If this is an indication of who we are about....then will will most certainly kick ass!
Ditto Toowoomba Girl.....I feel I was made very welcome in all stages as well. The Managers, staff, receptionists at JETSTAR, really are a cut above!
Finally, all I can say is that I am sooooooo grateful to be back doing what I love after 2 years! Sounds like I will be seeing you on April 26th...day 1 of training school in SYD
All the best to all and then some....
Luv "PANTS" xxx
