How it going @Britannia?
Hi
I was wondering if anyone here is a member of cabin crew for britannia?
Iv just been laid off from MAN. I was just wondering what things are like at the moment?
Is it busy?
Is there loads of long haul like everyone was saying? (this is aimed at Manchester based crew really but comments from others are welcome too!)
Thanks in advance
Dave

double trips
Hi there Aerofoil, dont work for Britannia anymore, used to though.
Met a girl at work the other day, who still works there. She told me they are getting double trips (whatever that means?). But said they are rostering them on sickness etc.

You may be right about them all being away on trips. I can't really help much, since I work for the other Britannia - you know, those rather pale-faced, weary looking gollum-crew who do all that tedious mundane shorthaul stuff that takes place while the much superior MAN & LGW super-crew are lying on the beach. You'll be pleased to hear that us drones are working rather hard at the moment, almost at Summer levels, which means that we're putting lots or lovely money in the bank to pay for your allowances when you go on those trips.
Yes, that's right! I am in a very bad mood today.

BRITANNIA
MAN-FUE on 757 recently
3 (out of 5) x c/c yapping by L2 door whilst demo was on Video - obstructing screen
Then only one tea/coffee on a 3h 40 minute sector
Bet that wouldn't happen with you hard working EMA crew!

Well, actually, I'm not EMA, but you're right, they wouldn't do that. Something seems to go consistently wrong at the larger bases - less so @ MAN than at our sister company, Britannia Gatwick who apparently have their own rules, policies and customer service plan, fortunately combined with a unique hands-off management style.
If you want it done right, take it to a smaller base, whatever it may be. However, all of this is nothing new, so I'm trying to kill this thread off if poss - it's going nowhere and is just washing dirty linen in public (my fault for starting and then rising to the bait I know - sorry).

You're correct... no bait, I was wrong. My hangups are inappropriate and inaccurate, probably as a result of the 20+ years that I have been working for the company: This can lead to a distorted sense of judgement. Please accept my apologies, and may I be the first to wish you luck for when you rejoin us next summer.
I'd also like to extend apologies to all MAN based crew to whom I may have caused offence, and of course, especially to LGW crews, who did not deserve to criticised in such an unjustified and thoughtless manner.
Can we put this thread to bed now? G'night

Greetings From Male!!!!!
Just here on a week trip. MrSeagull and i just thought we would say hi! Don't want to appear to rub your noses in it. Apologies accepted. I can remember posting on a thread on a similer subject not so long ago. Shall we put it to rest now? Nothing would please us more than to see you on a beach somewhere and buy you a beer. No hard feelings?! Enjoy your shorthaul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
