Hi PB,

Interesting......Do you know what was up for discussion? CP (or lack of) , Dash 400's, or where the company is going in the future.

Was it QF and the link involved in the meetings or just EAA?

I don't even want to begin to speculate otherwise I won't be able to sleep tonight, pushback747 tell us more ! who do you fly for ? how did u hear about this ?

Someone put a post up a while ago informing us about this meeting, it would be interesting to see the outcome?

Okay - lets untie the knickers that have been knotted!!

There was NO meeting today held for ANY crew - certainly no official ones!

The meeting I believe that is being referred to is the one concerning Short Haul and the QF Regionals, where one and all are invited to discuss the ramifications and change the proposed LCC will have on all of us.

It has NOT been held yet, and won't be I understand until the formal announcement is made. Bit difficult to hold a meeting when all you have is rumour and speculation, as opposed to hard facts.

Hang tight guys - I know the suspense is killing us all and the lack of knowing is even more frustrating, but hang in there. Good or bad, we will all find out what we want to know soon.

QF Skywalker

Hi,

I work with Cloud Nine!
I just happened to be chatting to another colleague when they mentioned that they just saw a FAAA rep. who flies on our network and he stated they had just had the meeting and had big news, but allegedly couldn't hang around to divulge this news.
Thats as much as I know.

Cheers,

hmmmmmm.....

I fly with both of you and if you are talking about the Eastern network (as opposed to the QLink network)we don't have a male FAAA rep anymore and haven't had for some time. I am not aware that our current FAAA reps have attended a meeting regarding this matter.

Let's try and wait for some facts (though of course wildly speculating and hypothesizing is so much more fun)

Alphagal.....

Hi,

Not our own colleague reps.......... our FAAA Regional Reps........ the ones we pay our monies too!! Anyway, as I said I don't know what happened or what it was about, I am only trying to obtain facts not spell the gospel.
By the looks of things a meeting did occur..... a day after I posted this and that meeting was about what Mr Seatback 2 stated in his post, which apparently was informative.
I'll love and leave you on this subject....

Cheers,

aaaahhhh

Sorry - my mistake.

I understand as well now that a meeting did take place - Hope we hear something soon. Unfortunately information dissemination does not appear to be a high priority for our union. Even if they can't tell us any specifics it would be nice to hear from them on what action they are currently taking (it's called accountability).

ciao

Pushback747 - do you mean the Industrial staff (the president, etc)?

With respect to your meeting, I thought (as I stated in my post) that you were referring to the 'come one come all' meeting that is to be scheduled soon - hasn't been held yet as far as I or anyone else is aware. I rang the FAAA today, and they said this one hadn't been held yet.

Is that the one you're referring to - or have I got my airlines all mixed up? Are you referring to an Eastern specific meeting?

Alphagal - sometimes, as much as we'd all like to hear something from the union, they're unable to divulge sensitive information (presumeably that's what it is, given they haven't published it to you). They (the staff) are most certainly accountable - but you wouldn't want them threatening your position or future by letting loose something that is currently confidential between them and the big Q!

Give it time - whatever is being discussed, I'm sure will be communicated as soon as they're able, either via a meeting or newsletter.
