Is there any Crew here that fly for Australian?

I applied some time ago to AA. I would like to get some more information.

What is the base wage?
Type of aircraft?
How long is each trip away?
Do you get staff travel benefits on the entire QF group or just AA?
How is the crew moral?

I dont work for Australian but I can give you some of the answers now and the actual crew can fill in the rest:

1. You can find a copy of the Australian EBA on the faaa international website www.faaa.net just go to the Australian Airlines section. This gives you base pay, duty hours, rest the standard info contained in EBA's. I must say the base salary is pretty good.

2. This can be found on the website but they operate an all economy 767-300 aircraft. Currently have 5 in the fleet or should now the fifth was being delivered this week I think from reading the QF Friday flyer.

3. Australian crew to answer

4. Australian crew get 2 trips per year on both the Australian and Qantas network. They do not get staff travel like QF crew (yet).

5. Australian crew to answer

Parry I think from memory you work for a QF regional? If so you could access the QF intranet. They have a link on their for Australian Airlines - one which is for the public only and the other an internal site for QF staff. Have a look at the internal site its very interesting and gives you a lot of inside information as to what is happening at Australian along with management, duty free and inflight service.

Hope this helps out until an Australian crew member can get back to you.
