Hiya
I have just been offered a job and was very happy until now. I have to write down exact dates for everything and about 2 years ago I had a job which was not continious employment but project by project though I was there most of the time I had gaps. What should I do, can I put down a personal reference like a neighbour to verify where I was? My god I have got gaps which until now never thought about, like travelling etc. This is a nightmare to think I worked so hard to get into this industry and might not by able to start.. I feel like crying. help please.

Take a deep breath and relax. You are only being asked for your employment history not what you doing on a friday night five years ago ! If you have a period when you were travelling around or simply unemployed than say so. Disclosure Scotland
are only carrying out a basic check of any 'criminal' convictions so
provided you only have a for example a couple of speeding tickets then no problem. When you do submit your application be aware that it could take upwards of two months to come back due to backlog.
