Tightslot,
unfortunately Danny had to disable it because too many people were taking advantage of signature to advertise/insult/being gross/etc and it was becoming a task for the Mods
I am saying "unfortunately" because as it sometimes happens many have to pay for the childishness of few.

Hi TightSlot, last year far too many people started to take advantage of the signature-facility by posting irrelevant and in some cases extremely long & silly diatribes.
It wasn't doing anything positive to the site, and was causing quite a bit of annoyance. It also generated a lot of irate mails to Admin. All mails to Admin are dealt with in Mod's free time (in the same way the whole moderating thing is an "act of charity"
), so this was one hassle nobody wanted.
Danny then decided to disable the signature function.
Hope this explains the lack of signatures.
Have a good weekend.
