From what i've heard there are 4 new buildings and all the new joiners are acommodated there.
These buildings are a bit far from the center of the town, but are ok to live.Pool on the roof, gym.No shops, no restaurants, etc.You can take a taxi to go downtown.It will cost you around 40 dhs.

Block Two Mizin building

Hi Triza,

my friend just wrote me that she is leaving in this building. As Mari said, it's far from the mall and sometimes hard to find a taxi, but like my friend said, you get used to it. Rooms are nice and you have your own bedroom and shower. I'm waiting to see if they are 2 or 3 flatmates. But like my friend said, you are like in the middle of the desert.

i am planning on going to open day in my country seychelles next saturday!! but theres one concerned!! my weight,i am not skinny but somewhat plum /chuby...are they strict about the weight on the open day or at the time of medical?

Hey Triza, thanks I'm doing well! I was just in the midst of medicals and I just finished uploading it.

There is a new checklist form (I think because I haven't seen it before) with a lot of insightful informations to read before your medicals :

PLEASE READ BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE MEDICAL CHECK
1) Please read carefully through Page 1 and the APPENDIX 1 of the pre employment medical forms attached below
2) Appendix - 2 Please fills all the 39 questions. If the answer is yes you need to give a brief detail right next to it.
3) Ensure that SEPARATE BLOOD TEST REPORTS are uploaded for all the tests listed on Appendix 2 Part B.
a) Kindly note Hepatitis B test is an ANTIGEN TEST and NOT ANTIBODY TEST and that needs to be mentioned on the report
b) (Females only) Circle NOT INDICATED for cervical smear test on Appendix 2 part B is if it is not applicable to you or if you are a virgin.
c) DO NOT upload the chest x-ray film as we require ONLY THE WRITTEN CHEST X-RAY REPORT
4) Appendix-3 (ophthalmic) if this section is not applicable to you please do not upload any form of document. If the question number 23 in the APPENDIX 2 is ticked appropriately we will action accordingly.
5) Appendix-4 (Vaccination certificate) - Ensure the form is filled with the vaccination records you currently hold and it is certified by the doctor with his stamp. You may however choose to complete the form prior to joining date.
a) Do not upload your vaccination cards or any other kind of vaccination certificate.
b) If you are unable to get all the vaccines completed on time you may do so in Dubai at your own cost. However we recommend that the 1st 7 vaccines listed should be completed prior to joining.
c) Appendix 4 can be uploaded with even ONE record filled in. As some vaccines may take time to complete and requires a break. So you can get the doctor to sign and upload even with one record.
6) Appendix -5 (Dental certificate) –Make sure the dentist circles YES/NO against the statement “Dentally fit to take employment and complies with standards above” and certifies the document with his stamp. Do not upload ANY x-ray films or bitewings. (carry them when travelling to Dubai)

Translation
ALL THE MEDICAL REPORTS SHOULD BE TRANSLATED INTO ENGLISH. You could even clearly handwrite the translation of the results on the original document and have the translation part stamped and signed by the doctor.

I have one question : To be able to get the job of a flight attendant with EK do you need to have a 'veneer' like set of teeth?
My teeth are white (no stains nothing) but not well aligned! that is a major issue right?

I'm interested to attend this AD but the question I have is I'm travelling form a different country the appointed agency Sass Atlantic.
What is there process?

Sassatlantic is incharge of premilinary selection around Asian ,however they process is abit different, in Malaysia they only recruite female mandarine speaking crews only . So before u attend the interview might aswell call the agency to get the further info.

A380 salary wage

Mari , I would like to ask if you have any idea about the wage scale of a380 crews.

There is NO different payscale for the A380 crew.

I am excited now that ive got an invite for the open day..what does it mean? cause anyways i would still be attending despite the invitation. It is an open day after all...

Hey Everyone!

It's so great to see that so many other people are in the same boat as me. I recently had a final interview on May 30th. I would like to believe that things went really well. A lot of the other people there from my group had to retake the personality test, some even had to take an I.Q test?

I didn't have to retake anything like that, nor did this other girl who was there with me. I'm taking that as a good sign, yes?

In addition, the only thing missing from my application documentation was my proof of current employment. I sent it to them a day after the interview was over via e-mail and I still have not received any confirmation from them stating that they received it. Do you know if this is common? I know Torontofly was apprehensive about divulging any of their secret numbers/contacts in Dubai, but does anyone out there have an additional contact e-mail/number for them? and/or could let me know if this is common?

Hahaha I am going CRAZY. The wait is sitting on me like a boulder.

Hi Fleity89 :) Congratulations on making it to the final interview!
I was in exactly the same situation that you are in, I handed in all my documents at the final interview except my proof of employment. I emailed it to them within the next few days and I too didn't get any feedback confirming that they received it. But as long as you sent it to the correct address you have nothing to worry about. If there's anything that they require of you, they will get in touch with you. So just wait for your Golden Call and relax ;) Easier said than done I know! :ugh:

You should get your answer in 3-4 weeks. Write again if you don't get anything. There is a bit of chaos here: tons of people are joining... Well, be patient and strong.
