What you need for the AD.
 

Just had a thought.

Would be a great idea for someone who knows to post up here what people need to bring to the AD. Since some people only get asked just a couple of days before it could be a good idea to have all the stuff like photos, references and stuff ready in case they get called on short notice.

So can anyone who has been to an AD enlighten us?

there were some post of what you need to bring, but here you are:
Dress CodeProfessional attire

Documents 3 x colored passport photocopies
Required4 x passport photos with White Background (Conservative clothing only and both ears must be visible; no glasses and no jewelry)
1 x full length photo
Current copy of CV
Copies of education, qualification and work experience certificates
2 x reference letters with current contact informationonly referance letters has to be in english, all the other documents are fine in your native language.

Good Luck to you all that have AD's be yourselves on the day and you will be okay.

For yourselves, if you do get all the way through, I would ask them when they are starting the next courses as the ones that have got the happy to inform are still awaiting an outcome to know when we will be starting!! SO GOOD LUCK for the interviews read through the papers given to you and read this forum on previous tips really worth doing.

I received an email from my recruiter and she said that although nothing is firm it is probable that we can't join Etihad before than the last quarter of 2009 as some of us said before.

She stressed that nothing is firm and everithing can change but, by now, this is how the situation is.

So, just go on with our lives, and, if we have a job, just feel lucky and keep working.

Have you send them an email asking them about your joinning date??? I´m waiting also for some news about them, i attend to the assessment of BCN on february 24, i received the happy mail and up to now i don´t now nothing!!! no answers, no mails..... I´ve wrote them an email but have no answer....

this is what we are saying since last 3 forum pages. Joining dates probably in the last quarter of 2009. Just read before please.

Hi everyone,

For those who are anxious about the joining dates as what others said on their posts there will be no training from april-october.

I spoke to recruitment about 3 weeks ago and I was told the same as everybody else that training will commence at the last quarter of this year. So don't expect to hear from them about joining dates sometime soon. The lady told me contracts will be sent out in Aug-Sept. They don't send contract sright now bcoz the training is not until Oct they usually send them out 1-2 month before doj.

For those who got the "yes email" rest assure you got the job we are just now on the waiting pool and as soon as the dates are confirmed we will hear from them. The lady assured me I got the job and just told me to be patient. There is no need to keep emailing them and calling them coz they will tell u the same thing anyways that nothing is confirmed.

So guys really you won't hear from them until summer the earliest so just get on with your lives right now enjoy this free time you have. As for me I've decided to travel and come back at the end of the summer it will keep my mind off the waiting.

Good luck to those who will attend the ADs and for those who are waiting just be patient and be optimistic we are all on the same shoes.

My friend left for Abu Dhabi yesterday for her training, I'm sooooo jealous!! She got to fly diamond class, lucky girl!

But yeah as everyone said, no point in emailing them. They will contact us when they are ready....

My friend was recruited last year, so she's been waiting almost 6 months now and she is finally there....be patient, and forget about it for the meantime.

I think everyone is a little pertubed by not knowing what is happening... its a long waiting game and as mentioned by others I think we all just want some sort of confirmation we arent forgotten about, we would just like to know whats happening... I can understand why people are pulling out their hair.

I sent them an email about a month ago and got told I was still awaiting security clearance, I havent bombarded them with messages but it would be nice to have a letter stating what all of you have had!! I just got told the above.

I agree, to get on enjoy travel etc. I think a lot of us, have kind of put our lives on hold awaiting you are on your way....to ABU DHABI!! Maybe its time to book the holidays and just await the package from them!!

Don't go through an agency. Just go online to Etihads website and apply on there, when the assesment day is near they will send you an invite. There really is no need for you to go through an agency at all and its better for you not to if you don't have to. You can let Etihad know which assesment you want to attend and it doesn't have to be your home country:O
