Hey guys,

I’m still wondering as I haven't received a definitive answer as of yet.

Has anyone who applied for the Manchester base still not received a answer as to whether or not their initial internet application is being processed any further with first choice, i.e. have received a email saying they will contact you in due course regarding the stage of your application and a interview date, as this is the predicament I am in currently, I did apply in October time but am still waiting to see if am to be called forward for interview.

I recently turned down a job with emirates in hope of a job with FCA. Anyone else in the same boat?

Thanks everyone.

When working at FCA as seasonal, do you get request days off for certain things or can you swap days for a important dates?

hi everyone i had an interview for fc last sunday 14th jan. i got through to the 221 interview and they said i would hear within a week but still nothing i doubt i have got it as they prob would have rang me! also they did mention that if successful i would be placed on a waitin list as there are limited spaces for man for 2007. i applied the first day they started accepting applications on their webite, yet i got invted to the last interview. i think they must have worked their way up, i will never be so eager to apply again! i have a job with mytravel to start 11th march so at least i will be able to get some flying experience. anyone else not heard who had interview last weekend?

vodkaholic 20th Jan 2007 16:53

you don't have to have a physical medical, but you will need to provide your doctor's details and fca will contact your doctor for your records i presume. i think you will only ever hear anything back about this if somehting is flagged up.

'Are you any good at selling' may be a start !

Still a good company - good people - but have a look in the papers at takeover/merger speculation - at least then you'll know !

dollybird757 31st Jan 2007 10:54

Hi all

Just been accepted to FCA start on the 5th March - only advise I can give you for your ass day is to be yourself - dont try and be what you think they are looking for cos they will know. You do have to do a test but they will let you use your calculators. Easy questions tho and make sure you do your homework on the company.

Good luck all with your interviews.

Heard also first 3 courses are going to lh trained and Im on first so cant wait.

:D :D :D :D

Just give your base admin a call. this e-learning does need to be completed before your training course, so if it has been missed out in with what was given to you at your uniform fitting, then they will need to send it to you in the post. normally it is just one sheet of paper with the website address and log in details on it.
good luck and well done getting the job!!

HELLO

HELLO people, i'm currently crew with FCA in dublin. id just like to add....if anyone is thinking twice about fca don't they're a fantastic company to work for, the crew are amazing, they dont want people who are all about sir madame etc etc, they want people with personality and great people skills. at the end of the day people are going away on holidays and want to have a good time.. the passengers are great 99.9% of the time,

i'm having a great time working for them, they look after you also with swaps etc etc, if its possible for them to do it they will

so just go for it, you wont look back....

what is the situation with long haul? how many do you get per summer season?

BlueTui 24th Jan 2009 21:16

First Choice Airways no longer exists(neither does Thomsonfly before i'm shot down) however I will answer your question about Thomson Airways.

Which base?
LGW, MAN are the main bases for long haul with BHX also having quite a few trips. GLA,EMA,NCL and BRS all do long haul but only limited destinations and quiet a few go via another base and you won't operate it.

If you are checked out on the 767 then you can have anything from 0-36 trips.

These are the two extremes with the Thomson Airways rostering system the former is very possible and happens to a lot of crew even at the bigger bases such as LGW or MAN 36 would be assuming consecutive one night trips with no short haul all summer- very very unlikely.

No one can say an average for this comming summer, as there is going to be less long haul than what First Choice Airways used to operate and more than what Thomsonfly used to operate. There is no minimum or maximum set by the company and you can always swap trips if you prefer them or hate them.

Ten West 26th Jan 2009 01:30

We're Thomson Airways this week. :ok:
