I agree it's so great QANTAS doesn't discriminate against age and there are lots of middle age + older people working for international so you never know, maybe you can transfer one day

I applied for international and Syd base, but I live in Sydney anyway! I hope so too, the waiting is the hardest part but it'll be worth it and so many of us are in it together. Good luck xoxo[/

thank you, I appreciate your sentiment and hope they will allow me to transfer later. I still wonder if those older crew u mention first applied when young, and are now in senior Purser positions after years of working on QF, not new applicants at a senior age. this was why I chose Qantaslink/Jetstar, it’s better to be flying locally than miss out altogether. I think if the applicants page shows green dots, with all tasks completed, this is still a positive sign, like u said, just waiting..

PS. Sydney is the ideal location for intl. crew as SYD is the hub for international Every international destination goes via Sydney.

I live under the flight path at melb airport and when I look up the flights on my flightradar app, i see most of the international flights are Emerites, Etihad, Scoot, Malaysia Royal airline and air New Zealand flights, the only QF are domestic. Unless they’re arriving when I’m asleep! I never see Qantas international. I wonder if crew based in melb have to fly to syd for international routes. Probably..
so you’re in the best spot! 😉

Hey y’all! Does anyone know what the situation is with ground schools, are they running them every month for SYD/MEL? Any internals had any contact?

Im an external Qantaslink applicant booked for July GS.
I just saw an ad on Altara website for Jetstar cabin crew, they are recruiting for FA positions and holding the AD’s end of June,(next month).
I Hope this helps anyone who missed previous AD. Sorry I couldn’t answer your question.

Good question, I can't get an interview until late June so hoping turn around is a week or 2. I've let QF know, you can only do what you can do.

Training Schedules

Hey guys, This message is for those of you who have attended training school. How much notice were you given in regards to your training schedules prior to start date? This question is especially for those who went overseas. How much notice in relation to training dates were given prior to your first day. Look forward to hearing from you!

Didn't you get offered a start date some time back yet you refused it so you could go on a holiday?

If they didn't offer an alternate date, then you are back in the hold pool and will drop out 12 months after initial application.

Hi,

I believe we will be in the same ground school 20 June? I haven’t received any training schedule. They did mention in the golden call that they will ring us to provide further details.
