This email was sent to contingent crew, we applied back in Jan 2022.
Sydney is the priority at the moment, Melbourne won't have much movement internally Im guessing that's why it's at snail's pace.
I applied for the base with high priority.
Which area of the business are you in?
It seems Jetstar/Alatra & MAM crew are all being held up.

Yes, received the Melbourne email and previously received the Jetstar one also. Hoping this means some more Syd basers will be notified for GS soon🤞

well if that’s true that’s frustrating for people like me who were waiting months and months for Melbourne assessment days only to be told no more recruitment happening, application withdrawn. If I’d known that I would have reapplied for SYD months ago.

I’ve heard of some altara crew being contacted for GS in May/June. Does anyone know if altara can hold you from going over to QF like JQ does?

US Visa

Hey everyone!

I made a post at the beginning of Feb saying that I was still on hold and was offered Jetstar. I ended up saying no to the offer and last week I got a call telling me I’m through to training on the 27th of March! Anyone else starting GS in Sydney on that date?

Update: I sorted everything for my US visa eventually…😅 the process is a pain but pretty happy it’s all sorted now! Good luck to everyone else if you need any help shoot me a message!

I’ve uploaded everything I need to Workday and applied for my US visa but I’m struggling with the payment. I was wondering if anyone else had that issue? It won’t let me pay online and I can’t view the form needed for AusPost. Does anyone have the C1D1 payment form for Auspost payment in person, or know how I can get it? I’m also going to ask my Qantas TA rep but I thought I’d ask here as well.

Yes you do.
MLB base training in SYD will get an upfront allowance of around 6.5K. Abu Dhabi is 16K

Neither have I. I think we will have to wait at least a couple more weeks. I emailed TA to check if everything has been cleared i.e. security check and medical but I haven't received a response. Has anyone else reached out to TA about the application recently?

yes hopefully we’d hear something around beginning of May, which is our month 2 mark.
